DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Accossato PZ014 is a CNC-made radial caliper with an 84 mm distance between mounting centres and an 11.5 mm offset, sized for the smaller braking systems on scooters, pit bikes and Mini GP machines rather than a full-size motorcycle. This listing carries a chromed finish and comes with a dust seal and two AGPA211 pads fitted, in the piston material and compound combination chosen as the Version option: aluminium or titanium pistons, each paired with an organic, sintered or ZXC compound. For a pit bike or Mini GP machine being built up for racing, the Version option lets you choose titanium pistons as an alternative to the aluminium standard, paired with the pad compound of your choice.
Key Features
- CNC-made radial brake caliper, 84 mm mounting centres
- Offset 11.5 mm
- Four pistons, 24 mm diameter, aluminium or titanium
- Chromed finish
- Dust seal fitted as standard
- Two brake pads, code AGPA211, included
- M8 brake hose connection
- Sold as left caliper, right caliper or matched pair
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato machines the PZ014 body by CNC with the same five-axis process used on its larger calipers, scaled down to the 24 mm pistons this smaller braking system needs. A dust seal is fitted as standard, and the AGPA211 pads come already clipped in. The base piston material is aluminium, and a titanium-piston version is offered alongside it at the same 24 mm diameter as an alternative material; either piston material is paired with the compound chosen under the same Version option, so piston material and pad compound are selected together rather than separately.
Choosing a Version: Piston Material and Pad Compound
The Version option on the PZ014 ties piston material to pad compound, so aluminium or titanium pistons are each offered together with an organic, sintered or ZXC compound rather than as separate choices. Accossato specifies the ZXC compound for racing use, which fits a Mini GP machine or pit bike built for competition, while the organic compound is aimed at longer service life and limited disc wear. Whichever Version is chosen, the 24 mm piston diameter and the 84 mm mounting centres stay the same, so switching between aluminium and titanium pistons, or between compounds, does not change how the caliper fits.
Fitment and Compatibility
The PZ014 is sold as a universal caliper for scooter, pit bike and Mini GP conversions rather than against a named machine list, so the 84 mm mounting centres, 11.5 mm offset and disc thickness already fitted should be checked before ordering, along with whether a caliper adapter and an M8-compatible brake hose are needed.
Road Approval
Accossato does not provide ABE documentation for the PZ014, and fitting this caliper to a scooter, pit bike or Mini GP machine used on the road is not something Accossato has cleared for road use in Germany; any road-going conversion needs to be cleared with a registration authority first. Pit bikes and Mini GP machines built purely for the track fall outside road-use rules entirely. As with any brake component, fitting should be carried out by a qualified workshop.
