DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Accossato CF006 is the Racing version of the cable clutch control, a lever design Accossato patents exclusively for its Racing line. It keeps the click-type cable adjuster and the adjustable lever-to-grip distance found across the cable clutch range, but the lever folds around a nut, insert and adjuster assembly rather than the simpler folding joint used on the CF001. The lever is CNC-machined aluminium, anodised in a choice of eight colours, with or without a lightening eyelet (RST), and the cable adjuster itself is finished to match the lever colour. The mirror holder is sold separately.
Key Features
- Racing cable clutch control, a lever design patented exclusively by Accossato Racing
- Folding lever built around a nut, insert and adjuster assembly
- Click-type cable adjuster, with the adjuster itself coloured to match the lever
- Lever-to-grip distance adjustable
- Lever CNC-machined from aluminium, anodised
- Lightening eyelet version (RST) or solid lever (NRST)
- Four distances: 24, 29, 32, 34 mm
- Mirror holder not included; MH005 or MH006 available separately
Construction and Material Quality
Where the CF001's folding lever pivots as a single nut-and-lever joint, the CF006 uses a nut, insert and adjuster assembly that Accossato Racing holds as its own patented design. The lever is still CNC-machined from aluminium and anodised in the full eight-colour range, and both RST and NRST versions are offered, but on this Racing assembly the cable adjuster rather than a separate knob is the part finished to match the lever colour.
What the Racing Patent Changes
The difference between the CF006 and the CF001 is in how the folding joint and the cable adjuster are built, not in what the rider adjusts day to day: the same click-type fine-tuning and the same four lever-to-grip distances, 24 mm, 29 mm, 32 mm and 34 mm, are available on both. A longer distance pulls more cable for the same lever movement, releasing the clutch earlier but needing more hand force; a shorter distance needs a fuller lever stroke for a lighter pull. Checking the distance currently fitted before ordering still applies here as it does across the range.
Fitment and Compatibility
The CF006's own fitment table runs to 170 named motorcycles across the same broad set of brands, Aprilia, BMW, Benelli, CFMOTO, Honda, Kawasaki and others, covering machines such as the Aprilia Tuareg 660 Rally, the Aprilia RSV4 1100, the Aprilia Tuono 660 and the Aprilia RS 660 FACTORY, with the complete list on the Fitment tab. Riders running any of these models with a hydraulic clutch master cylinder instead of a cable will not get this control to work on their bike. Before ordering, confirm the cable nipple and length currently fitted suit this control.
Road Approval
Accossato documents no ABE for the CF006; whether it needs separate registration depends on the country, so this should be checked before using the motorcycle on the road.
