The MY004 is Accossato's quick throttle control fitted with the GR002 grip for the Kawasaki ZX-6R (2005–2016). GR002 comes in one finish rather than a colour range, leaving the eight anodised cap colours as the only visible choice on the housing. The two-piece aluminium housing is CNC-machined in the usual way, and the kit bundles Accossato's ZX004 cable set for this generation of ZX-6R with three internal cams of 40, 43 and 45 mm.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato machines the housing from two aluminium halves and anodises the result in one of eight cap colours, the same process used for every kit in this family. The GR002 grip supplied here is not part of that colour range; it is a single, fixed finish, so the housing's cap colour carries the whole customisation. Three cams, 40, 43 and 45 mm, are fitted inside and can be swapped to change how quickly the throttle opens and how far the grip has to rotate to get there, with no tools beyond what is needed to open the housing itself.
Replacing a Worn Cable Without the Extra Choice
Many ZX-6Rs from this generation are now old enough that the stock throttle cable has seen plenty of wear, and the MY004 covers that replacement with a kit that does not ask the buyer to pick a grip colour on top of a cap colour. That suits a rider or workshop more concerned with restoring a crisp, reliable throttle pull than with matching a livery, while still leaving the cam set available if a sharper response is wanted once the cables are in, so the decision about how the throttle feels can be made after the bike is back on the road rather than at the point of ordering.
Fitment and Compatibility
This kit, with its ZX004 cable set, is built for the Kawasaki ZX-6R (2005–2016); exact production years are listed in the Fitment tab on this page. The ZX004 cables are cut for this generation only and are not the same part used on the current ZX-6R.
Road Approval
There is no ABE or parts certificate documented by Accossato for the MY004; registration rules depend on the country, so check before road use. As with any throttle control, make sure the grip returns on its own to the idle position once fitted.
