DescriptionThe whole story▼
The MY004 fits the fixed-finish GR002 grip to Accossato's quick throttle control for the Kawasaki ZX-10 RR (2017–2018). With GR002 supplied in one shade, the eight anodised cap colours are the only choice on the order. The two-piece aluminium housing is CNC-machined and comes with the ZX012 cable set, shared with the standard ZX-10 R, plus three internal cams of 40, 43 and 45 mm.
Key Features
- Two-piece CNC-machined aluminium throttle housing
- GR002 racing grip in a fixed finish
- Eight anodised cap colour options
- Accossato ZX012 cable set for the Kawasaki ZX-10 RR (2017–2018)
- Three interchangeable internal cams (40, 43, 45 mm)
- Identical to the kit listed for the Kawasaki ZX-10 R (2016–2020)
- Made in Italy, checked before being placed on the market
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato machines the housing in two aluminium halves and anodises it across eight cap colours; the GR002 grip fitted here ships in a single, fixed finish rather than drawing on that range, so no grip colour needs to be specified at order. Three cams of 40, 43 and 45 mm travel inside the housing and are the part that sets throttle response once the kit is installed, the same three cams supplied with every grip option built on this housing.
A Short Production Run, Covered Without a Special Part
With only two model years, 2017 and 2018, the ZX-10 RR is a comparatively rare bike to see parts listed for individually, yet Accossato does not require a bespoke cable set for it; the same ZX012 cables fitted to the far more common ZX-10 R cover it too. That spares an RR owner from hunting for a low-volume part, since the kit ordered here is identical to the one sold for the standard model, down to the fixed GR002 finish and the three cam diameters packed with it.
Fitment and Compatibility
Because the RR was sold for such a short window, the Fitment tab on this page is the fastest way to confirm the exact production year before ordering; the same ZX012 cable set is also listed for the Kawasaki ZX-10 R (2016–2020), so the two years either side of the RR's own run are not a concern when ordering, and a single part number covers an owner moving between the two model names on separate bikes without needing to track which kit went where.
Road Approval
There is no ABE or parts certificate documented by Accossato for the MY004; registration rules depend on the country, so check before road use. As with any throttle control, make sure the grip returns on its own to the idle position once fitted.
