DescriptionThe whole story▼
The later Yamaha YZF-R125, from 2019 to 2024, uses a different rear pad from its predecessor: Accossato's AGPP99. This version comes in the Organic (OR) compound, the relaxed, everyday choice. It suits commuters and new riders who want a smooth rear brake for city traffic, quiet operation at the lights and a long-lasting disc. Accossato says the organic material gives longer performance and limits disc wear.
Key Features
- Rear pads for the Yamaha YZF-R125, 2019 to 2024
- AGPP99 shape in the Organic (OR) compound, item AGPP99OR
- Durable performance and disc-friendly material, per Accossato
- Smooth rear brake for town and commuting
- Two pads per box for the rear caliper
- Also available in the ST compound
- No German ABE on file; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's organic compound in the AGPP99 is formulated for long service and to go easy on the rotor. On the rear of a modern learner sports bike, which is used frequently but at moderate force, that approach keeps maintenance simple. The pads resist fade by limiting heat build-up. Each box contains two pads, one set for the caliper.
Commuting on a Modern R125
In daily traffic, the rear brake of a YZF-R125 helps with smooth, low-speed stops and keeps the bike steady during slow manoeuvres. An organic pad gives a gentle, predictable response that is easy to control, especially for riders still gaining experience. It also tends to be quiet. For riders who ride through winter and in heavy rain, the ST version of the AGPP99 is the all-season alternative.
Fitting the Pads
Clean the caliper and pistons, check the disc for wear and push the pistons back carefully. Check the fluid level and pump the pedal until firm after fitting. Keep chain lube well away from the rear disc, and wipe it with a clean cloth if any spray reaches it. Replace both rear pads at the same time, even if one looks less worn.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGPP99 for the rear of the Yamaha YZF-R125 from 2019 to 2024. Earlier bikes from 2008 to 2018 take the AGPA173 at the rear. At the front, the AGPA101 covers 2014 to 2024. Accossato's DK245 disc is listed for the model.
Road Approval
No German ABE or test documents are available to us for this pad. It is offered for track and competition riding.
Scope of Delivery
