DescriptionThe whole story▼
The rear brake of a motocross bike works in the background: it settles the chassis into a turn, controls speed down a steep bank and helps the front end without much drama. For the Yamaha YZ250F from 2003 to 2026, Accossato offers the AGPP106 rear pad, here in the Organic (OR) compound. It is the gentle choice, for riders who practise more than they race, value long disc life and prefer a smooth, predictable pedal from the first lap of the day.
Key Features
- Rear brake pads for the Yamaha YZ250F, model years 2003 to 2026
- AGPP106 outline in the Organic (OR) material, code AGPP106OR
- Accossato highlights long-lasting performance and reduced disc wear
- Progressive feel at the pedal, even before the brake has warmed up
- Two pads in the box for the single rear caliper
- ST and STMX versions of the AGPP106 are also available
- No German ABE on file; for closed-course and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
In the AGPP106 range, the organic material is the one Accossato recommends for sustained performance and for sparing the disc. That is a sensible match for a rear brake, which on a YZ250F is used often but lightly, and whose rotor is exposed to stones and roost. A softer friction partner means the disc lasts longer. The pads resist fading because they do not overheat easily, and they are supplied in pairs, one set for the caliper.
A Softer Touch at the Pedal
Many riders use the rear brake to tighten a line rather than to stop hard. In a slow hairpin a light dab brings the rear round; on a downhill it keeps the speed steady without locking the wheel. An organic pad makes those small corrections easier because it bites progressively instead of grabbing. For young riders and anyone building confidence on a YZ250F, that predictable behaviour can be more useful than raw power. If you race in the wet or through mud most weekends, the ST or STMX version of the AGPP106 is worth a look.
Fitting Tips
Check the rear disc for grooves and minimum thickness, and inspect the pedal pivot for free movement. Clean the pistons before pressing them back, top up fluid if necessary, and pump the pedal several times after fitting until it firms up. Keep chain lube well away from the rear disc.
Fitment and Compatibility
The AGPP106 is catalogued for the rear of the Yamaha YZ250F from 2003 all the way to 2026. At the front, Accossato uses the AGPA110 for 2007 to 2020 and the AGPA288 for 2020 to 2026. The DK111, DK168, DK268 and DK269 discs complete Accossato's brake range for this model.
Road Approval
We have no German ABE or test report for this pad, so it is sold for off-road competition and closed courses, the natural home of the YZ250F.
Scope of Delivery
