DescriptionThe whole story▼
On a scrambler such as the Yamaha XSR700 XTRIBUTE, built from 2019 to 2022, the rear brake does a lot of quiet work: settling the bike at low speed, holding it on a slope and helping on loose surfaces. Accossato's rear pad AGPP88 in the Organic compound, SKU AGPP88OR, is for riders who use the bike in town, around villages and on light gravel, where a gentle, predictable pedal matters more than outright force.
Key Features
- Organic (OR) rear pad, SKU AGPP88OR
- For the Yamaha XSR700 XTRIBUTE, 2019 to 2022
- Accossato: long life and low disc wear
- Smooth pedal response at walking pace
- Useful for slow manoeuvres and hill starts
- Two pads in the box for the rear caliper
- Front pad AGPA97 listed for the same years
Construction and Material Quality
According to Accossato, the Organic compound keeps its performance over a long period and limits the wear it causes on the disc. On the rear of an XSR700 XTRIBUTE, where the brake is used lightly but often, that combination keeps maintenance simple. We add nothing about composition; the compound is presented here as Accossato describes it.
Low-Speed Control
The rear brake is the tool for slow riding: trickling through a car park, turning on a narrow lane or holding the XSR700 XTRIBUTE still at a steep junction. An Organic rear pad gives a soft, progressive response to the pedal, which helps with fine control when the clutch is slipping and the bike is barely moving. It also tends to run quietly. For a rider who wants the same rear feel in heavy rain or with a passenger all year, Accossato offers this pad as Sintered too.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPP88 for the rear of the Yamaha XSR700 XTRIBUTE from 2019 to 2022 (catalogue name XSR 700 X TRIBUTE). The rear uses a single caliper, so one box covers it. For the front of the XSR700 XTRIBUTE, Accossato offers AGPA97 in several compounds for the same years. When you change rear pads, check the remaining thickness of the old ones, look at the disc for grooves, clean the piston before pushing it back and press the pedal several times until the brake is firm again.
Road Approval
No ABE or approval test is on file for this rear pad. We therefore offer it for racing and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
Box of two Organic rear pads, one set for the rear caliper.
