DescriptionThe whole story▼
On a Yamaha R7 ridden mostly on the road, the rear brake is the tool for slow-speed balance: creeping through a traffic queue, turning in a narrow street or holding the bike on a sloping driveway. Accossato rear pad AGPP88 in the Organic (OR) compound is meant for that everyday role. Accossato lists AGPP88 for the R7 from 2022 to 2026, and OR offers a soft, quiet bite that is kind to the rear disc.
Key Features
- Rear pad AGPP88 in Organic (OR) compound
- For the Yamaha R7, 2022-2026
- Accossato: longer performance and limited disc wear
- Soft initial bite for low-speed control
- Quiet in slow traffic
- Two pads, a full rear set
- Also available in ST
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato says the Organic compound gives long-lasting performance and limits disc wear. On a rear brake used mainly at low speed in traffic, that is a practical combination. Accossato's general claims of slow wear, reduced fade and strong stopping for all its pads are passed on as its statements, without independent tests from us.
Slow-Speed Balance
Riders coming to the R7 from smaller bikes often use the rear brake to keep the bike steady in tight manoeuvres, since it slows the bike without affecting the steering. A soft, progressive rear bite makes that easier, especially on a sports bike with a firm riding position. OR is designed to respond well when the brake is cold, which is almost always the case in town. Riders who tour or ride through winter may prefer ST, which is designed for steady grip in wet and cold.
Checking the Rear Pads
The rear pads of an R7 are easy to inspect through the caliper. Look at them whenever you clean and lubricate the chain, and replace them in good time. When fitting new pads, press the piston back carefully and pump the pedal until firm.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPP88 for the YZF 700 R7 from 2022 to 2026. The rear has one caliper, so one box is a complete set. At the front, Accossato lists AGPA97. Check the rear disc for wear and the fluid in the rear reservoir when changing pads.
Road Approval
AGPP88OR has no ABE with us, and no test documentation is available. It is offered for competition use.
Scope of Delivery
Two Organic (OR) AGPP88 rear pads, a complete set for the R7's rear caliper.
