DescriptionThe whole story▼
Accossato lists its AGPP89 rear pad for the Triumph Tiger 800 XRX across the model years 2015 to 2018, so unlike the front, the rear needs only one reference regardless of year. This is the Organic (OR) version. It is intended for riders who use the rear brake for gentle speed control and low-speed balance, who ride mostly in town and on ordinary roads, and who want the rear disc to last as long as possible.
Key Features
- AGPP89 rear pad in Organic (OR) compound
- For the Triumph Tiger 800 XRX, 2015 to 2018
- Accossato: long-lasting performance, low disc wear
- One rear reference across all listed years
- Gentle, well-dosed pedal response
- Two pads per box for the rear caliper
- ST version also available
Construction and Material Quality
Two phrases make up Accossato's description of Organic: performance that endures, and a disc that is spared. For the rear of a road-going XRX, a brake that is touched constantly but seldom squeezed hard, nothing more is needed. The maker's general statements about its pads, namely slow wear, a limited rise in heat that keeps fade away and a secure stop, apply here as well.
Simple Ordering, Soft Pedal
Owners of an XRX sometimes worry about ordering the wrong part, because the front pad changed for the 2018 bike. At the back there is no such trap: AGPP89 is listed for every XRX year from 2015 to 2018. In OR form, the rear becomes a soft, easily modulated brake. That helps when edging through a queue on a hot day, rolling down a steep driveway or turning around on a narrow lane, all moments where a snatchy rear would unsettle a tall bike. Organic pads are also pleasantly quiet. Riders who share the saddle with a pillion on wet roads should look at the ST version instead.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPP89 for the rear of the XRX from 2015 to 2018. At the front, AGPA72 fits the 2015 to 2017 XRX and AGPA29 the 2018 model. When fitting, clean the piston, check the rear disc and fluid, and pump the pedal until firm. Bed the pads in with a few gentle stops.
Road Approval
We do not have a German ABE or test mark for AGPP89OR. It is sold for racing and competition use.
