DescriptionThe whole story▼
Accossato lists its rear pad AGPA76 for the Triumph Tiger 1200 XR in 2018 and 2019, and AGPA76OR is the Organic version. It is designed for XR owners who ride mostly on paved roads, often at low speeds in towns and on the commute, and who want a smooth, quiet rear brake that is gentle on the disc. On a tall, heavy adventure tourer, easy rear brake control at walking pace is a real everyday benefit.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato says the Organic compound maintains its performance for a long time while limiting disc wear. For the rear of an XR ridden mainly on paved roads, that means a pad that lasts and a disc that is spared. The maker's other design aims include controlled heat and effective stopping.
Walking Pace on a Tall Bike
A tall adventure bike is at its most awkward at walking pace: turning in a narrow street, pulling into a parking space, stopping on a slope. Many riders hold a light pressure on the rear brake in these situations to keep the bike steady. That technique needs a rear pad that engages smoothly, without snatching. The Organic compound is designed for that kind of use, and it works well from cold on short trips. It suits commuters, riders who are new to large adventure bikes, and anyone who values a quiet, predictable rear brake.
Rear Brake Maintenance
Keep the rear caliper clean, check the disc for grooves and replace the brake fluid at regular intervals. Make sure the pads slide freely in the caliper.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA76 for the rear of the Tiger 1200 XR in 2018 and 2019. At the front, the maker offers AGPA177 for the same years. The box contains two pads for the single rear caliper. After fitting, press the pedal several times until it is firm and bed the pads in gently.
Road Approval
We have no German ABE and no test mark for AGPA76OR. It is listed for competition use.
