DescriptionThe whole story▼
Some owners keep their Norton V4 RR 1200 as a cherished machine, ridden gently on fine days and cared for between outings. For such bikes, Accossato's AGPA42 rear pad in Organic (OR), listed for the V4 RR from 2018 to 2019, is a sensible choice. It gives a soft, quiet rear brake that treats the disc with care and suits relaxed road riding.
Key Features
- Rear pads AGPA42 for the Norton V4 RR 1200, 2018 to 2019
- Organic (OR) compound, SKU AGPA42OR
- Accossato: lasting performance and low disc wear
- Soft, quiet response
- Preserves the rear disc
- Suits gentle road riding
- Two pads for the rear caliper
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato says the Organic compound keeps performing over a long period while limiting disc wear. For a carefully kept machine, a pad that looks after the disc is worth having. Accossato also keeps heat build-up in check in its compounds.
Caring for a Special Bike
A V4 RR that is kept in top condition deserves a rear brake that works smoothly without wearing out the disc. The Organic pad bites gently and quietly, which makes slow manoeuvres, parking and relaxed rides easier. It also keeps the rear disc surface smooth for longer. When the bike has been standing, check the brake fluid, which absorbs moisture over time, and make sure the rear caliper pistons move freely. Before the first ride, press the pedal a few times to check that it is firm. If the bike is stored for long periods, keep it in a dry place to avoid corrosion on the disc. A soft rear pad and careful storage together help keep a special motorcycle in the condition it deserves.
Riding Gently
On the road, the rear brake of a superbike is mostly used for fine control, and a progressive pad makes that control easier.
Fitment and Compatibility
Our Accossato data names AGPA42 as the rear plate for the V4 RR 1200 from the 2018 and 2019 production, with AGPA106 serving the front. If the bike will see rain or cold mornings after all, the Sintered (ST) mixture of the same rear plate is the more robust option. The box holds a full set for the single rear caliper.
Road Approval
We have no German ABE or approval paperwork for AGPA42OR. It is sold for competition use.
Scope of Delivery
Two Organic rear pads, one set for one caliper.
