DescriptionThe whole story▼
Most of the time, the rear brake on an MV Agusta F4 1000 RC from 2015 to 2020 is used for careful, small movements rather than hard stops: easing the bike out of a garage, positioning it at a meeting, holding it on a slope or rolling gently onto a trailer. This Organic (OR) rear set suits RC owners who ride their superbike on public roads and want smooth, quiet rear braking.
Key Features
- Organic (OR) rear pads for the F4 1000 RC
- 2015 to 2020
- Longer performance and limited disc wear, per Accossato
- Smooth control at low speed
- Quiet operation
- One box for the rear caliper
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's own description of the Organic compound mentions two things: performance that lasts longer, and limited wear on the disc. On a limited-production superbike that its owner wants to keep in fine condition, a pad that looks after the rotor is a sensible choice. The company's usual aims, slow wear, controlled temperatures to prevent fade and firm stopping, are present, with a calm, everyday bias. Only the Organic mixture is catalogued for this rear shape.
Handling a Rare Superbike
Anyone who owns an RC knows the moments when the bike is most at risk: pushing it out of a tight garage, turning it on a sloping driveway, lining it up on a trailer ramp or edging through a crowded car park at a bike meeting. In those moments a rear brake that responds softly and can be dosed precisely is worth more than raw bite. The Organic set is chosen for that, and its gentleness on the disc suits a bike that is often kept for many years.
Looking After the Rear
A bike that stands for long periods can suffer from sticky pistons and old fluid. When changing the pads, clean the piston carefully before pushing it back, check that the pads move freely, and renew the fluid if it is more than a couple of seasons old. After fitting, press the pedal until it is firm, then bed the pads in with a few gentle stops.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists this rear pad, AGPA118, for the MV Agusta F4 1000 RC from 2015 to 2020. For the front of the RC the matching part is AGPA106, available in several compounds. The rear has a single caliper, so one box is all that is needed. If the rear caliper has been replaced at some point, compare the pad shape before ordering.
Road Approval
These pads have no ABE or test mark. They are sold for racing and competition.
Scope of Delivery
Two organic rear pads in a box. No hardware.
