DescriptionThe whole story▼
The rear brake on the MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR does small jobs all day long: holding the bike on a hill start, calming it in a slow bend, keeping it steady at walking pace. This Organic (OR) rear set is listed for the RR from 2016 to 2025 and suits owners who use that rear brake gently and often, especially in town.
Key Features
- Organic (OR) rear pads for the Brutale 800 RR
- Covers 2016 to 2025
- Accossato points to longer performance and reduced disc wear
- Progressive feel for hill starts and slow manoeuvres
- Quiet in daily riding
- One box for the single rear caliper
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato says the Organic mixture delivers longer-lasting performance and keeps disc wear down. That fits the rear of a road bike, where the pad is used lightly and frequently. The maker's standard targets, slow wear, limited heat to avoid fade and firm stopping, are all present, with the emphasis here on smoothness and durability.
Hill Starts and Tight Turns
Pulling away on a steep slope, a rider holds the bike with the rear brake while finding the clutch's biting point. Turning around in a narrow lane, a touch of rear brake keeps the RR from running wide. Those small, frequent jobs suit a smooth Organic pad. It also treats the rear disc kindly, which matters on a bike that covers many short trips. For this rear pad the listed alternatives are ST and ZXC.
Keeping an Eye on It
Look at the rear pads whenever the chain is adjusted. Clean the piston before pushing it back when fitting new pads, check the disc for grooves, and replace the fluid if it looks dark. Press the pedal repeatedly after fitting until it firms up, then bed in with light stops.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato catalogues AGPA42 for the rear of the MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR from 2016 all the way to 2025. The front of the RR uses AGPA96, which is listed for 2016 to 2022, so later bikes should confirm the front part separately. One box covers the single rear caliper. If a previous owner fitted a different rear caliper, compare the pad shape before ordering.
Road Approval
These pads come without an ABE or test mark. For that reason we supply them for racing and competition.
Scope of Delivery
Two organic rear pads in one box. No mounting hardware.
