DescriptionThe whole story▼
On a shaft-driven Moto Guzzi V9 X-Track 850 the rear brake is used more than many riders realise: to steady the bike in slow turns, to hold it on a slope and to settle the chassis before a corner. Accossato lists its AGPA28 rear pad for the 2017 X-Track, and this version uses the Organic (OR) compound. It suits riders who want a soft, quiet rear brake that treats the disc gently on everyday journeys.

- Rear pads AGPA28 for the Moto Guzzi V9 X-Track 850, 2017

- Fine control for slow manoeuvres
- Quiet when the brake is cold
- Helps the rear disc last
- Two pads in the box for the rear caliper
Construction and Material Quality
For its Organic compound Accossato promises performance that lasts and limited disc wear. On a rear brake, where the pad is dragged lightly and often, that matters: the disc is protected and the pad keeps working in the same way for a long time. The maker, founded in Moncalieri near Turin in 1969, also mentions stable behaviour thanks to controlled heat.
Slow Speed Control
Riding a V9 X-Track slowly through a car park, a village square or a tight hairpin is easier with a touch of rear brake. It stabilises the bike and lets you control the speed without upsetting the front. An Organic pad makes this delicate work easier because it bites gradually, so small movements of the pedal produce small changes in braking force. Riders who are learning, taking lessons or simply prefer a relaxed style will appreciate that. The compound also runs quietly and is gentle on the disc, which keeps running costs down on a bike that is used daily. When fitting new pads, clean the caliper, check the disc for scoring, top up the fluid if necessary and press the pedal several times until the pressure is back.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA28 for the rear of the V9 850 X-Track in 2017. The front of this Guzzi uses the Accossato pad AGPA96. The rear plate is also available in Sintered (ST) for riders who ride in all weathers. One box covers the rear caliper.
Road Approval
We have no approval documents or German ABE for AGPA28OR. It is therefore supplied for competition use.
