DescriptionThe whole story▼
Riding a Moto Guzzi V7 II Scrambler 750 around town means lots of slow-speed work: rolling up to lights, edging between parked cars, turning in narrow side streets. The rear brake does much of that work, and Accossato's AGPA28 rear pad in the Organic (OR) compound is designed to make it smooth and quiet. It is gentle on the disc and easy to meter from cold. Accossato lists it for the V7 II 750 Scrambler, model year 2016.
Key Features
- Organic (OR) rear pads for the Moto Guzzi V7 II Scrambler 750
- Accossato fitment: 2016 model year
- Long-lasting performance and low disc wear, per Accossato
- Easy to meter at walking pace
- Quiet in city traffic
- One box, two pads
- No German ABE; competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes the organic compound as offering long-lasting performance while limiting disc wear. At the rear of a light urban scrambler, where the pedal is pressed often and softly, that is a good balance. The lining bites gradually and releases cleanly, so slow turns and tight parking manoeuvres feel controlled. Across its pads, Accossato also claims strong stopping power, modest heat build-up and good fade resistance.
Tight Streets and Slow Turns
A scrambler with a wide bar is easy to turn in a narrow street, especially with a light drag on the rear brake while the clutch is slipped. The organic pad turns that drag into a smooth, predictable effect. It also keeps quiet and leaves the rear disc in good shape for many seasons. AGPA28 also comes in a Sintered (ST) version for riders who face rain or carry a passenger.
Scramblers often pick up dust on unpaved lanes. When that happens, rinse the rear caliper with water and clean the pistons carefully at the next pad change so grit does not reach the seals.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato names the V7 II 750 Scrambler of 2016 for this rear pad. One box covers the single rear caliper. For the front wheel Accossato offers AGPA96. Before fitting, clean the pistons and push them back gently, then press the pedal several times until the pads touch the disc.
Road Approval
No German ABE or approval document has been provided to us for this pad, so it is sold for track and competition use.
