DescriptionThe whole story▼
On the KTM 890 Adventure R Rally the rear brake is often the quiet helper, used for creeping through a crowded fuel station or holding the bike on a hill start. Accossato's AGPA29 rear pad in the Organic mixture fits the 890 Adventure R Rally of model year 2024. It suits owners who use the bike for everyday journeys and short trips, who prefer a soft, quiet rear and who want the rear disc to stay in good shape for many seasons.
Key Features
- Rear pads AGPA29 for the KTM 890 Adventure R Rally, 2024
- Organic mixture, SKU AGPA29OR
- Accossato says it keeps working longer and limits disc wear
- Soft, easily controlled rear for slow riding
- Usually quiet in daily use
- A calm choice for riders new to a tall bike
- Same rear plate available as ST, STMX and EV1
- No ABE on file with us; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's description of this compound is short: longer performance and reduced wear on the disc. On a rear caliper that is used gently but frequently, those qualities keep maintenance costs down. The company also notes that its pads keep fade low by limiting heat, and that they provide strong stopping. The friction face sits on the usual AGPA29 plate, so nothing about the rear caliper changes.
Balancing a Tall Bike at Walking Pace
The Rally has a tall seat and long travel, and many riders find that the rear brake is their most useful ally at walking pace. That role needs a pad that bites softly, without a sudden grab that could unsettle the bike when the rider can barely reach the ground. The Organic mixture delivers that gentle start. It helps when turning in a narrow lane, rolling down a garage ramp or waiting at a steep junction.
Inspect the rear pads whenever you service the chain, because the rear caliper collects dirt and lube. Keep the disc clean and check the reservoir level regularly.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA29 for the rear brake of the KTM 890 Adventure R Rally in 2024. The front caliper of that bike takes AGPA96, and no Accossato disc is offered for it. Compare the outline of your old pads with this pair before fitting.
Road Approval
We do not hold an ABE or approval mark for AGPA29OR, so it is sold for competition purposes.
Scope of Delivery
Two Organic rear pads, a full set for the rear caliper.
