For the KTM 1290 Super Adventure T of 2017 to 2019, Accossato offers the AGPA29 rear pad in its Organic compound. This is the rear brake for riders who spend most of their time on tarmac and want the pedal to feel soft and forgiving. On a big tourer that is walked out of a garage, parked on gravel at a café or turned round in a hotel car park, a rear brake that answers gently is a real help.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato attributes long performance and low disc wear to its Organic compound. At the rear of a touring bike, those qualities fit well, because the rear pad is used often but gently. The friction layer is bonded to the AGPA29 plate. The maker also designs its pads to keep heat and fade under control.
Garages, Cafés and Hotel Car Parks
Big touring bikes spend a surprising amount of time moving at walking pace. Wheeling the T out of a tight garage, finding a level spot outside a café or turning it round in a gravel car park all rely on light rear brake use. A soft compound makes those moments easier, because the pedal gives a gradual, smooth slowing effect.
The Organic face also helps the rear brake run quietly when rolling slowly through villages. At pad change time, check the rear disc for ridges and the remaining pad material, clean the piston before pushing it back, and pump the pedal until it is firm. A few stops at walking pace will confirm everything works as it should.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGPA29 for the rear caliper of the KTM 1290 Super Adventure T, 2017 to 2019. At the front, this bike takes the Accossato AGPA96. The AGPA29 is also available as ST, STMX and EV1.
