DescriptionThe whole story▼
On a Kawasaki KLX 450R ridden at a steady pace on forest trails and practice loops, the rear brake does most of the fine speed control. Accossato's AGPP106 rear pad in Organic mixture fits the KLX 450R from 2007 to 2024. It is aimed at trail riders and those still learning off-road technique who want a rear brake that responds gently, is easy to modulate and keeps disc wear low.
Key Features
- Rear pads AGPP106 for the Kawasaki KLX 450R, 2007 to 2024
- Organic mixture, SKU AGPP106OR
- Long working life and low disc wear, per Accossato
- Gentle bite that is easy to modulate
- For relaxed trail riding and practice
- Front pad: AGPA51
- Plate also made as ST and STMX
- No ABE held by us; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato attributes longer-lasting performance and reduced disc wear to its Organic mixture. On the rear of a KLX 450R used for trail riding rather than racing, those qualities keep maintenance simple. The company also claims its pads limit fading through moderate heat build-up and deliver a firm stop. The block is bonded to the AGPP106 plate.
Controlling Speed on the Trail
On a loose descent, many trail riders prefer to control speed with the rear brake, keeping the front wheel free to steer. A rear pad with a soft, progressive bite helps the rider find the point just before the wheel locks, which is where the most control is. That makes the organic set a calm partner for riders building off-road confidence on the KLX 450R.
Trail riding at a relaxed pace is easier on the brakes than racing, but dust and water still find their way into the caliper. Rinse the rear caliper after muddy rides and check the pads for uneven wear, which can indicate a sticking piston.
Keep chain lube off the disc and pads, and check the pad depth whenever the chain is adjusted.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPP106 for the rear brake of the Kawasaki KLX 450R from 2007 to 2024, with AGPA51 for the front and the DK060 disc also catalogued. The box covers the single rear caliper.
Road Approval
There is no ABE or German test certificate for AGPP106OR in our hands. These pads are sold for competition use.
