DescriptionThe whole story▼
A Rally used for easy-going rides, café stops and town errands relies on its rear brake for gentle work: slowing into a junction, holding the bike on a slope, easing through a car park. Accossato's AGPA42 rear pad in the Organic (OR) compound is designed for that. It is listed for the Indian FTR 1200 Rally from 2019 to 2024 and offers quiet operation, a soft initial bite and reduced wear on the rear disc.
Key Features
- Accossato AGPA42 rear pad in Organic (OR)
- For the Indian FTR 1200 Rally, 2019 to 2024
- Long-lasting and gentle on the disc, per Accossato
- Soft, easy-to-control response
- Quiet on relaxed rides
- Set of two pads for one caliper
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato characterises its Organic formula by durable performance and low disc wear. For a rear brake that sees frequent light use, those qualities keep the disc smooth and the pedal feel consistent across many seasons. The mixture works well at low temperatures and tends to run quietly. Like all Accossato pads, it is designed with slow wear and reliable braking in mind.
Easy Rides on Spoked Wheels
A Rally ridden in a relaxed style, perhaps down a quiet lane to a village café, uses the rear brake in small, gentle doses. An organic pad makes those light touches easy and keeps the brake quiet, which matches the unhurried character of such rides. It also suits riders who are returning to motorcycling or who are still building confidence with a big twin. When fitting new pads, clean the piston before retracting it, check the fluid and press the pedal until firm. Gravel and dust from a detour down a farm track can collect around the rear caliper, so a quick rinse after such rides keeps the brake working smoothly.
Fitment and Compatibility
The part number for the Rally's rear wheel, model years 2019 to 2024, is AGPA42; the twin front calipers take AGPA177 instead. If you want a different character at the back, the same rear pad is sold as ST or ZXC. The Rally has a single rear caliper, so one box does the job. Before you start, hold a worn pad against a new one to be sure of the outline, then check that the rear disc is smooth and within its limit.
Road Approval
There is no German ABE or test report for this organic rear pad in our records, so Inter-Pace lists it for racing and competition.
