DescriptionThe whole story▼
Owners of a Husqvarna TE 300 who ride for pleasure rather than points often describe the bike as a tractor with a sense of humour: it idles up rocky steps and lugs through roots in a high gear. When the pace is that measured, the rear brake becomes a precision instrument. Accossato supplies its AGPP80 rear pad with Organic lining for this machine, SKU AGPP80OR, across model years 2014 to 2023, a span that also takes in the injected TE 300 i. Weekend explorers and club trail riders who prize a delicate pedal and long rotor life are the people it was chosen for.
Key Features
- Rear set AGPP80, Organic lining
- For the TE 300 and TE 300 i from Husqvarna, 2014 to 2023
- Durable, and light on the rotor, says Accossato
- Delicate pedal for idling over rocky steps
- No heat needed for full effect
- Same backing sold as ST and STMX
- Intended for off-road sport
Construction and Material Quality
Long-lived and considerate towards the disc: that is how the Italian maker characterises this lining. Behind the rear wheel of a TE 300 that crawls through technical ground for hours, a pad rubs the rotor gently and often, so a lining that spares the metal extends the life of both parts. It is bonded to the AGPP80 backing, a straight replacement for the stock pad, and Accossato adds a word about good deceleration with little heat.
Crawling in a High Gear
Idling a big two-stroke up a staircase of rocks is a slow balancing act. The right boot hovers over the pedal, adding a touch of drag to keep the TE 300 from surging when the rear tyre finds grip. A lining that engages softly and builds pressure in a linear way makes that feathering far easier than a sharp one. It also means fewer stalls when the clutch and brake are worked together at walking pace.
Once the ride is finished, pick stones and caked earth out of the caliper, and look at whether the two pads are wearing at the same rate.
Fitment and Compatibility
In Accossato's list, AGPP80 serves the rear caliper of the carburettor TE 300 built from 2014 to 2020 and of the TE 300 i from 2018 to 2023. The Husqvarna's front brake is covered by AGPA29, and Accossato's discs for it are DK017 and DK018. Riders who face long, wet winters might go for ST on the same backing. Before refitting, hold a used pad against a new one to confirm the outline on your TE 300.
Road Approval
Accossato has not supplied us with an ABE or test mark for AGPP80OR, so the set is intended for competition.
