DescriptionThe whole story▼
Mountain roads are made of hairpins, and hairpins are ridden with the rear brake. A Ducati Scrambler 1100 Sport turned tightly at walking pace, bars on the stop and clutch slipping, depends on a light drag at the back to stay upright. The Organic compound on the AGPP91 rear pad is drawn for that undramatic work: Accossato promises a long service life from it and less wear taken out of the disc. The Sport is listed from 2018 to 2024.
Key Features
- Rear pads for the Ducati Scrambler 1100 Sport, article AGPP91OR, Organic material
- Accossato's listing covers 2018 to 2024, the Sport Pro included
- The maker's claim: it works for longer and is gentle on the disc
- Made for controlled low-speed use rather than for heat
- The rear caliper is filled by one box of two pads
- Firmer choices on the same plate are ST and STMX
- Bed the new pair in gently and look at them after the first long ride
- No German ABE available; competition and track use
Construction and Material Quality
An organic material is chosen for what it does not do: it does not chew into the disc, and it does not need to be worked hard before it answers. Accossato adds that it keeps going for a long time, which on a rear brake is a fair expectation, since the back of a Scrambler 1100 Sport rarely sees enough heat to punish a pad. The plate is the AGPP91 used throughout the range, so changing to or from this compound is the same half hour of work as any other pad swap. Two pads arrive in the box and that is the whole of what the single rear caliper needs.
Hairpins and Hill Starts
A tight mountain hairpin is slower than most riders expect and steeper than it looks from below. The line tightens, the camber falls away at the apex, and the only way through is at a pace where steering has stopped working and balance has taken over. The rear brake makes that possible: steady light pressure against a slipping clutch keeps the Scrambler 1100 Sport stable while the bars go to full lock. Stopping halfway round for oncoming traffic brings the other half of the job, holding a heavy bike on a gradient without rolling back while the right foot stays planted. None of it generates heat, all of it wears the pads, and much of it happens with dust and grit on the disc. Keep an eye on the free play at the pedal, since a brake that never fully releases will quietly eat a set of pads, and clean the caliper properly whenever the wheel is out rather than only when something starts to complain.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's rear pad for the Scrambler 1100 Sport is the AGPP91, listed across 2018 to 2024 for the Sport and for the Sport Pro that followed it in 2020. There is a single caliper at the back, so one box does the job and no counting is needed. The front of the bike takes the AGPA177 in four materials, and the company's discs for this Ducati are the DK008 and the DKS053.
Road Approval
Neither a German ABE nor any other approval is held for the AGPP91OR, so the pads are sold for competition and for track use.
Scope of Delivery
