Four materials are offered on the AGPA29 rear pad of the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak, which is unusual at a rear fitting and says something about how differently people use this machine. The Organic version is the one for ordinary riding. Accossato describes it as giving longer performance and as limiting wear on the disc, and both of those matter more at the back of a motorcycle than most riders assume. Construction and Material Quality
Two modest claims, both about endurance: the pads should go on working for a long stretch, and the disc they work against should wear less for the company. At the rear of a sporting travel bike that combination is well aimed, because the rear disc is the one nobody plans to replace and the rear pads are the ones nobody remembers to inspect. The AGPA29 carrier is shared with the three other materials at this position, so the fit inside the caliper of a Pikes Peak plays no part in the decision.
A Rear Pedal That Outlasts the Season
The rear brake on a bike like this leads a double life. On a good road it is barely used, since nearly everything happens at the front and the rider's right foot has other business. In every other situation it works constantly and gently: holding on a slope, trimming a line at walking speed, steadying the bike as it drops off a kerb, taking a share of the load in slow traffic. The total amount of work is large even though no single application is.
A material chosen for staying power rather than for bite fits that pattern, and it carries a second benefit that only appears later, when the disc is still serviceable at the point where the pads are not. Look at the rear of the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak whenever the wheel is out for a tyre, clear built-up dirt away from the caliper, and after any work bring the pedal back to a firm stop before the bike is ridden.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGPA29 at the rear wheel of the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak from 2022 to 2026. A single caliper works there, so one box completes the axle. At the front the same machine takes the AGPA106 over the same span, and that wheel has two calipers, so a front change costs twice as much in boxes. No Accossato disc is catalogued for this version of the V4.
