DescriptionThe whole story▼
Rear pads get replaced when somebody finally notices them, which on a Multistrada V2 can be a long while after they went in. The pedal does quiet, frequent work: a touch at a give-way line, a steadying press through a mini-roundabout, a firm hold while the lights change on a hill. Accossato's Organic material is built around that pattern, with the company pointing to a long working life and to a gentler effect on the disc behind it. AGPA93OR is the rear pad for the V2 of 2022 to 2024.
Key Features
- Rear brake pads for the Ducati Multistrada V2, 2022 to 2024
- AGPA93OR: the AGPA93 rear carrier with Accossato's Organic material
- The maker names a long working life and reduced wear on the disc
- Suited to the light, repeated pedal work of town riding and traffic
- One caliper at the rear wheel, so a single box completes that axle
- Two pads in the box, which is the set that caliper uses
- The AGPA177 is what Accossato lists at the front of the same machine
- No German ABE on file; supplied for competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Two claims sit behind the Organic material and both are about time rather than drama: the pads should keep doing their job for a long stretch, and the disc behind them should pay less for the privilege. On a rear wheel that matches how the brake is actually used, because a rear disc on a travel bike lives under road water, takes everything the tyre throws forward and is an unwelcome bill when it goes. Accossato, making brake components outside Turin since 1969, presses the AGPA93 in this one material.
The Pedal You Use Without Thinking
Count the rear applications on an ordinary Tuesday and the total is surprising. Down the ramp out of the car park, in the queue at the bridge, holding still behind a bus, trimming a line round a small island, steadying the bike while a passenger climbs off. Almost all of them are gentle and none is memorable, which is exactly why the pad that makes them ought to last. A Multistrada V2 used this way covers a great deal of ground without ever asking the rear for a hard stop.
The reward for a mild material is a quiet back end: less noise at walking speed, less complaint on a cold morning, and a disc face that still looks like one after a couple of winters. When the change does come round, measure what remains on both pads rather than the one you can see, clear the muck out of the caliper before the new set goes in, and press the pedal several times until it comes up firm before the V2 is ridden away.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato puts the AGPA93 at the rear wheel of the Multistrada V2 for the 2022, 2023 and 2024 model years. A single caliper works there, so one box finishes that end of the bike. The front takes the AGPA177 over the same three seasons, and for discs the catalogue names the DK053 and the DKS053. The better-equipped S version appears under its own heading in the application data, and Organic is the only material this rear carrier is pressed in.
Road Approval
Our files contain no ABE and no German test certificate for the AGPA93OR, so the pads are supplied for competition and closed-course use only.
Scope of Delivery
