Most of the awkward moments on a big Multistrada happen below walking pace: a U-turn in a narrow lane, a gravel drive with a camber across it, reversing out of a bay with a pillion still aboard. The rear brake is what makes those moments manageable. Accossato's AGPA29 rear pad in the Organic material, article AGPA29OR, is described by the company as going a long way and treating the disc kindly. It is listed for the Multistrada 1260 S D-Air of 2018 and 2019.

Construction and Material Quality
The Organic material is sold on two promises, both of them patient ones: a long working life, and a disc that is not worn away in the process. Accossato has been making brake components since 1969, when the firm started at Moncalieri outside Turin, and a rear pad of this kind sits at the unglamorous end of that catalogue. The plate is the standard AGPA29, common to every version of the article, which keeps the choice purely a matter of friction material.
Walking Pace, Full Lock
Turning a tall motorcycle round in a lane is a trick performed with three controls at once: clutch slipping, throttle steady, rear brake trailing. The pedal holds the whole thing together. Too much of it and the Multistrada 1260 S D-Air drops onto its crash bars; too little and the turn gets wider than the lane. What a rider needs there is not power but resolution, the ability to add a little pressure and receive a little more effect, over and over, at the speed of a slow walk.
Look after the rear brake and it will keep doing that. Check the pads whenever the chain is adjusted, since the caliper is already exposed. Clean the piston before it is pushed back so that no grit travels in with it. Keep chain lubricant off the disc, which takes more care at the rear than at the front. Bed a new set in with a few deliberate stops, and press the pedal until it is firm before the bike goes anywhere near full lock.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGPA29 at the rear wheel of the Multistrada 1260 S D-Air for 2018 and 2019. One caliper means one box and a finished axle. At the front of the same machine the catalogue shows the AGPA106 across the same two seasons. No Accossato disc is offered for this model. The D-Air has its own entry even where the pad numbers match those of other 1260 versions, so order against the years shown here.
Road Approval
We hold no ABE for the AGPA29OR and no German test report. The pads are supplied for racing and closed-course use, which is the only claim the documents support.
