Carrying somebody on the back turns the rear brake from a detail into a courtesy. A Ducati Hypermotard 950 has a small pillion seat and usually a rider accustomed to travelling alone, and the passenger feels every clumsy halt through their helmet meeting yours. Accossato's Organic compound, article AGPA42OR, sits on the AGPA42 plate at the rear wheel of the 950 for the 2019 to 2024 seasons, and the maker links it to a long working life and to a disc that is not worn away quickly.

Construction and Material Quality
Among the three faces Accossato presses onto the AGPA42, this is the one meant for ordinary riding. The claims made for it concern duration and the disc: the material should go on working for a long stretch, and the steel it runs against should not be sacrificed to it. A rear brake on a Hypermotard 950 is applied far more often than it is applied hard, so a face that trades outright heat tolerance for a quiet life is a reasonable exchange.
With a Passenger on Board
Smoothness two-up is mostly about the last part of a halt. The rider who eases the pressure off as the bike settles keeps the passenger's weight off their own shoulders; the one who holds full pressure to a standstill collects a helmet in the back of the neck. The rear brake is the tool for that final moment, and it is also what holds a Hypermotard 950 still at a junction while somebody climbs aboard or finds the pegs. Both jobs want a pedal with a long, readable range rather than an abrupt one. Tell your passenger to look over your shoulder on the inside of a bend and to sit still while the bike is slowing, and the two of you will get along better than most.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato catalogues the AGPA42 at the rear wheel of the Hypermotard 950 for 2019 to 2024. One caliper does that job, so one box is a complete change and not half of one. The front of the machine takes the AGPA177 over the same period, and the RVE version of the 950 is listed separately with the same references. The disc Accossato names for this Ducati, the DKS053, is a front part.
Road Approval
No German ABE and no approval certificate are held here for the AGPA42OR, and the pads are therefore listed for competition and track use rather than for public roads.
