DescriptionThe whole story▼

The Tuareg 660 Rally is the version for people who ride to the rough stuff rather than trailering to it, so most of the distance in a year is still covered on asphalt. Transfer sections from one track to the next are quiet, steady riding, and the rear brake spends them being used gently and often. Accossato's AGPP91 rear pad is listed for the Aprilia Tuareg 660 Rally of 2025, and this article is the Organic compound, which Accossato links to a long working life and restrained wear on the disc.

Key Features

  • Rear brake pads for the Aprilia Tuareg 660 Rally, model year 2025
  • Organic (OR) compound, an article of its own
  • Accossato on OR: it performs for longer and treats the disc gently
  • Two pads per box, the amount the rear caliper holds
  • Fits the original rear caliper without modification
  • Two further compounds exist for this carrier, listed separately
  • Accossato's range holds no front pad and no disc for the Rally
  • No German ABE or test mark on file; competition and track use

Construction and Material Quality

The organic mix is the quiet option in this range, and the claim Accossato attaches to it is equally quiet: it goes on performing over a long period, and it limits the wear it causes to the disc. On a rally-styled adventure bike the second point is worth more than it looks. Discs are among the parts nobody improvises on a journey, and a rear disc that stays healthy for years is one less thing to plan around when the route leads away from towns.

The Road Between the Tracks

Most of a trail-riding day is not spent on trails. It is spent getting from one to the next along country roads, through villages with a school at the end of them, behind a tractor for a while, and then stopping for fuel. That kind of riding uses the rear brake constantly and lightly: a dab to settle the bike as the speed limit drops, pressure held at a junction, the pedal touched to keep things calm while filtering past a queue.

A rear brake used like that gives very little warning as it wears. The pedal keeps working, the feel changes slowly, and the moment anyone notices is usually the moment it is overdue. Get into the habit of glancing at the rear pads whenever the Tuareg 660 Rally is washed after a day out, and change the pair in the caliper together rather than replacing only the one that looks worse.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato's entry for the Tuareg 660 Rally names the 2025 model year and this rear pad. Nothing else in the range is listed for the Rally, neither a front pad nor a disc, so the rest of the brake stays as the factory built it. One box is the whole job at the back, since a single caliper works that wheel; if the disc has seen hard use, look it over while the pads are out.

Road Approval

Neither an ABE nor a test mark is documented for this pad on our side, and it is therefore sold for competition and track use.

Scope of Delivery

One box, two Organic (OR) pads, the set for the rear caliper of the Tuareg 660 Rally.
