DescriptionThe whole story▼
Not every XL750 TRANSALP heads for the desert. Plenty of them spend the week in suburban traffic, carrying a rider to work and back, and only see a gravel road on holiday. For that everyday pattern Accossato offers the AGPA160 front right pad in its Organic mixture, catalogued for the Honda XL750 TRANSALP of 2023 and 2024. It is a calm choice for commuters, newer riders and anyone who wants a soft initial bite and a front disc that lasts many seasons.
Key Features
- Front right pads for the Honda XL750 TRANSALP, model years 2023-2024
- Article AGPA160OR with the Organic friction face
- Accossato promises a long life and low disc wear
- Soft, predictable response from cold
- Quiet when crawling through traffic
- Two pads per box, for the right caliper only
- No ABE provided; sold for track use
Construction and Material Quality
Organic is Accossato's mixture for durability and disc care; the Piedmont firm says it gives longer performance while limiting wear on the rotor. It also carries the brand's standard aims of dependable stopping force, limited heat build-up against fade and moderate pad wear. On the AGPA160 the outline is shared with the Sintered and EV1 versions, so switching mixtures later requires nothing more than a new box.
A Calm Brake for Learners
The Transalp's upright seating and easy engine make it popular with riders returning to motorcycling or stepping up after a licence. For them a front brake that builds up gently is reassuring: the lever can be squeezed without the bike diving suddenly, and emergency practice in an empty car park stays manageable. Riding schools value the same trait. A gradual organic face on the XL750 TRANSALP supports that learning, while its low noise helps in stop-and-go city traffic.
When changing pads, clean the caliper pistons first, check the fluid level and pump the lever until it is firm.
Fitment and Compatibility
AGPA160 is the pad Accossato lists for the front right caliper of the Honda XL750 TRANSALP in 2023 and 2024. The left caliper uses a different shape, AGPA212, sold separately, so a complete front change needs one box of each. We have no Accossato rear pad listed for this model. If you later ride more in wet weather, the AGPA160 is also available as Sintered.
Road Approval
No ABE or official approval has reached us for this pad. We therefore provide it for competition and closed-course riding.
