DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Kawasaki Z500 SE is the better-equipped version of the Z500, and from 2024 to 2026 it shares the same pad shape at both ends. This box contains Accossato's AGPA77 pads in the Organic (OR) compound for the Z500 SE. The organic mix is suited to riders who use the bike for the commute and short leisure rides, and who prefer a smooth, quiet brake that does not wear the disc more than necessary.
Key Features
- Organic (OR) compound, front or rear caliper
- Listed for the Kawasaki Z500 SE, 2024 to 2026
- Low disc wear, according to Accossato
- Smooth, easy-to-modulate response
- Works well from cold on the morning ride
- Two pads per box for one caliper
- DK271 disc listed by Accossato for the SE
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato says its organic compound offers longer performance and limits disc wear. For a Z500 SE ridden daily, that means pads that last and a disc that stays in good condition. The company, founded in Moncalieri in 1969, also aims for low wear and a long life across its pads, with limited heating to keep fade out of the picture.
Cold Mornings and Short Trips
Short journeys in the cold never let the brakes warm up fully, which is exactly where an organic pad shows its strength: it responds properly from the first stop. It also stays quiet when rolling up to lights or easing into a parking bay. After a pad change on the Z500 SE, pump the lever until the pressure is back and do some gentle stops before joining traffic. Keep the discs clean and avoid spraying chain lube or polish near them. A Z500 SE ridden to work every day will get through pads steadily, so it is worth glancing through the caliper opening every couple of weeks to see how much friction material remains.
Fitment and Compatibility
The AGPA77 is listed for the Kawasaki Z500 SE from 2024 to 2026 (catalogue entry Z 500 SE 2024-2026) and fits front and rear. The bike has a single front disc, so one box covers the front caliper and a second the rear. Accossato's DK271 disc is also listed for the SE, and the pad is available in Sintered (ST) too.
Road Approval
These pads have no ABE or test mark in our documentation, so they are offered for racing and competition use.
