DescriptionThe whole story▼
Yamaha's XT1200Z SUPER TENERE, built from 2010 to 2019, is a big adventure tourer with shaft drive that many owners also use as a comfortable daily bike. For riders whose Super Ténéré covers mostly ordinary kilometres, on the way to work, through villages and along relaxed main roads, Accossato offers its front pad AGPA97 in the Organic compound, SKU AGPA97OR. The emphasis is on long pad life, low disc wear and a quiet, progressive lever that never feels abrupt at low speed.
Key Features
- Organic (OR) front pad, SKU AGPA97OR
- Yamaha XT1200Z SUPER TENERE, 2010 to 2019
- Also catalogued as XTZ 1200 SUPER TENERE
- Accossato: long service and reduced disc wear
- Progressive lever on a heavy bike at low speed
- Two pads per box, one caliper
- Rear pad AGPP121 listed for the same years
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's claim for its Organic compound is lasting performance combined with limited wear on the disc. On a heavy tourer like the XT1200Z SUPER TENERE, the front discs of which cost a fair amount to replace, that combination has practical value. We describe the compound only as the manufacturer does and make no claims about what it contains.
A Big Tourer in Everyday Use
A large adventure bike used for daily errands brakes in a gentle, repetitive pattern: rolling up to junctions, easing into roundabouts, stopping at the school gate. An Organic pad answers that pattern calmly. The first part of the lever travel builds stopping force smoothly, which helps when manoeuvring a heavy machine at walking pace, and the pad tends to stay quiet. Owners who tour two-up in all weathers or ride steep passes with full luggage may prefer the ST version; EV1, EV2 and ZXC also exist for this pad.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA97 for the front of the Yamaha XT1200Z SUPER TENERE from 2010 to 2019, noted in its catalogue both as XT 1200 Z SUPER TENERE and as XTZ 1200 SUPER TENERE. The bike has two front discs, each with its own caliper, so two boxes are needed for a complete front change. At the rear, Accossato supplies AGPP121 for the same years. Measure the old pads, inspect the discs, and change both front sides together for even braking.
Road Approval
Our records contain no ABE or test certificate for these pads. We offer them for racing and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
