DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Yamaha WR250R is a dual-sport single that many owners use as a daily machine: to work during the week, onto a gravel road at the weekend. Its tall seat and light weight make it an easy bike to thread through traffic. For the WR250R of 2008 to 2020, Accossato lists its AGPA51 front pad, and this listing is the Organic (OR) compound. It suits commuters and relaxed riders who value a soft, well-dosed front brake, low noise in town and a disc that is not eaten away by the pads.
Key Features
- AGPA51 front pad in Organic (OR) compound
- For the Yamaha WR250R, 2008 to 2020
- Soft lever response for stop-and-go traffic
- Low disc wear and long life, per Accossato
- Quiet at junctions and in car parks
- One box fits the single front caliper
- Also offered as ST, STMX and EV1
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's two-part description of Organic is about endurance: the pad goes on working properly for a long time, and the disc under it wears slowly. For a WR250R clocking up weekday journeys, that translates into fewer workshop visits and a front disc that ages gracefully. Accossato has been making brake and control parts since 1969, when it was founded in Moncalieri.
The Weekday Dual-Sport
On the way to work, a WR250R rider brakes dozens of times: for a crossing, a delivery van, a queue at the lights. None of these stops is dramatic, but each one is more pleasant with a pad that comes in gently and lets the long-travel fork compress smoothly rather than diving. An organic front pad offers that manner. It also works at once on a cold disc, which counts on short urban trips where the brake never gets properly warm, and it keeps quiet when the bike creeps through a car park.
Weekend Gravel
On an easy gravel road at the weekend, the same progressive bite helps on loose surfaces. For deeper mud or regular dirt riding, the STMX version of the pad is designed for that use.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA51 for the WR250R of 2008 to 2020. The rear pad for the same bike is AGPP106. The WR250R has a single front caliper, so one box covers the change. Pads should be replaced as a pair. Clean the caliper pistons before pressing them back, measure the disc against its minimum thickness, and check the fluid in the handlebar reservoir. Before riding off, squeeze the lever repeatedly until it is firm, then bed the pads in on a quiet road.
Road Approval
We have no German ABE or test mark for this pad. It is offered for racing and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
One box of two AGPA51 Organic (OR) pads, sufficient for the front caliper.
