DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Triumph Bonneville T100 has been a familiar sight on British and European roads since 2001, first with the 800 twin and later with the 900, and many examples are still ridden every week by owners who have kept them for years. For that kind of steady, everyday use Accossato makes the AGPA72 front pad in its Organic compound. It is meant for riders who commute, run errands and take the long way home on a Sunday, and who would rather look after the front disc than chase the sharpest possible bite.
Key Features
- Front pad set AGPA72 for the Triumph Bonneville T100, 2001 to 2021
- Organic compound, article number AGPA72OR
- Accossato: long-lasting performance with limited disc wear
- Soft, progressive initial bite that suits a classic twin
- Quiet operation in town traffic
- Friendly when the brake is still cold on the first junction of the morning
- Also made in ST, EV1 and EV2 on the same backing plate
- No test certificate on file, sold for competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes its Organic mixture as a compound that keeps working consistently over a long period while treating the disc gently. That is the whole point of this pad. The Italian firm, founded in 1969 in Moncalieri near Turin, builds the same AGPA72 plate in several compounds, and this one is the choice for mileage rather than lap times. You get a smooth response at the lever, low noise and a disc that should stay in good condition for longer.
Living With an Older Bonneville
A Bonneville T100 is often ridden gently: to work, to the café, to the coast and back. Much of that riding happens on cold mornings and short trips, where a front pad rarely gets properly warm. An organic compound bites cleanly even when it is cool, which makes the first stop of the day feel predictable. It also tends to run quietly, so the classic look of the T100 is not spoiled by squeal at every traffic light. For riders who keep an older bike for a decade or more, protecting the original disc is a genuine saving.
Workshop Notes
Before fitting, push the caliper pistons back only after cleaning them, so dirt does not get forced into the seals. Check the disc thickness and look at the fluid; old fluid on an older T100 is common. After the swap, pump the lever until it is firm, then bed the new pads in with a series of gentle stops.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA72 for the front of the Bonneville T100 from 2001 to 2021. That covers the 800 T100 from 2001 to 2004, the 800 T100 Paul Smith edition from 2006 to 2008 and the 900 T100 from 2005 to 2021. The matching rear pad for this bike is AGPA76. Look at your Bonneville T100 before ordering and count the front calipers, since one box contains one set for one caliper.
Road Approval
We have no ABE or other German test paperwork for AGPA72OR, so it is offered for racing and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
Two Organic front brake pads, enough for one caliper.
