DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Norton Commando 961 SF brings the look of a classic British parallel twin into the modern era, and plenty of owners ride theirs for pleasure on dry weekends and short summer evenings. Accossato lists its AGPA112 front pad for the Commando 961 SF from 2013 to 2015. This article is the Organic (OR) mixture: a soft, quiet front compound that gives a gentle bite and spares the disc, made for relaxed road riding rather than hard use.
Key Features
- Front pads AGPA112 for the Norton Commando 961 SF, 2013 to 2015
- Organic (OR) mixture, SKU AGPA112OR
- Accossato: long-lived performance and little disc wear
- Soft first bite, easy to meter
- Quiet at town speeds
- Helps the front disc last longer
- Two pads per box for one caliper
Construction and Material Quality
What Accossato promises for Organic is endurance: performance that lasts and a disc that is worn only lightly. The pad is not made to withstand track temperatures; it is made to feel the same on every summer outing for a long time. Accossato adds that the controlled heating of its compounds keeps the lever feel even.
A Classic Twin in Summer
A Commando 961 SF is often ridden as a treat: a sunny afternoon, a favourite country road, a stop at a pub or a bike meet. In that kind of riding the front brake is rarely pushed hard, and what the rider notices is how it feels. The Organic pad offers a soft, progressive response at the lever, so gentle braking into a village or a roundabout feels natural. It runs quietly, which suits the character of a classic twin, and it keeps the disc in good condition over the years. For riders who mostly ride in fair weather and who value a calm, refined front brake, this compound matches the bike. Before fitting, clean the caliper and pistons carefully and check the brake fluid, which on a bike that is ridden occasionally can absorb moisture over the winter.
Fitment and Compatibility
For the Commando 961 SF, Accossato names AGPA112 at the front for model years 2013, 2014 and 2015. At the back the bike uses AGPA42. If you want a harder-wearing pad for wet days, the front plate also exists as Sintered (ST), and two sportier track mixtures are listed too. Count the calipers on your fork before ordering; a box contains the set for one.
Road Approval
We have not received test documents or a German ABE for AGPA112OR. The pads are sold for racing use.
