DescriptionThe whole story▼
Chrome, spoked wheels and a classic air-cooled V-twin: the Moto Guzzi V7 850 Special is the most traditional take on the V7 theme, a bike for Sunday rides to the café, trips into town and relaxed country lanes. That kind of riding asks for a front pad that is soft, quiet and patient with the disc, and Accossato's AGPA96 in the Organic (OR) compound is exactly that. The catalogue lists it for the V7 850 Special from 2022 to 2023.
Key Features
- Organic (OR) front pads for the Moto Guzzi V7 850 Special
- V7 850 Special, model years 2022 and 2023
- Accossato cites lasting performance and restrained disc wear
- Soft, progressive bite for relaxed riding
- Quiet at the lights and in town
- Box of two pads for the single front caliper
- No German ABE; offered for competition use
Construction and Material Quality
The organic compound is Accossato's gentlest. The company describes it as offering long-lasting performance while keeping wear on the brake disc low. On a classic roadster like the V7 850 Special, where most stops are calm and many happen before the brakes are warm, that is the right priority. The lining bites progressively from the first squeeze and never snatches, which suits a bike ridden for pleasure rather than lap times. Like all Accossato pads, it is also said to stop firmly, wear slowly and resist fade by keeping its temperature down.
Café Rides and Country Lanes
A V7 850 Special earns most of its miles on short, unhurried rides: a loop through the hills, a coffee in the next town, an evening ride home. The OR pad matches that rhythm with quiet, predictable stops and a long life on the disc. If you ride through winter or tour with luggage, the Sintered (ST) version of AGPA96 is the steadier all-weather choice; EV1, EV2 and ZXC are there for spirited and track riding.
The Special has a single front disc, so the whole front brake rests on one caliper and one set of pads. Keep the disc clean and free of chrome polish, which can easily drift onto it when you clean the wheels.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA96 for the V7 850 Special built in 2022 and 2023. The bike has one front disc and one caliper, so a single box is all you need. For the rear wheel Accossato offers AGPA28, listed for the same years. Clean the caliper pistons before pushing them back, look at disc thickness and pump the lever until firm before setting off.
Road Approval
No German ABE or other approval document has been provided to us for this pad, so it is sold for racing and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
