DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 has won a loyal following as a light, punchy single that works well on the commute and still raises a grin on a Sunday ride. For owners who mostly use it on weekdays, Accossato supplies the front pad AGPA184 in its Organic compound, SKU AGPA184OR, for model years 2017 to 2025. The set is aimed at riders who value a smooth, quiet front brake, a lever that bites right away on a cold morning, and a front disc that wears slowly over tens of thousands of stops.
Key Features
- Organic front pads for the Husqvarna Svartpilen 401
- Model years 2017 to 2025, SKU AGPA184OR
- Accossato claims long life and gentle treatment of the disc
- Immediate response without warming up
- Low noise level on daily runs
- ST and EV1 versions share this outline
- Racing use, no approval on file
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's own words on the Organic mixture are brief: longer-lasting performance and limited wear on the disc. For a Svartpilen 401 used as daily transport, that is a practical combination, because replacing a rotor costs far more than a set of pads. The friction surface is mounted on the AGPA184 backing, identical in outline to the part it replaces. Accossato also mentions good retardation with restrained heat build-up, which keeps the lever consistent during a long run of traffic lights.
A Calm Brake for the Daily Ride
Most commuting stops are short and light. A compound that works properly from the very first squeeze suits that pattern better than one that needs temperature. On the Svartpilen 401 the Organic face gives a soft initial bite that grows as you pull harder, so you can shave off a little speed in a queue without pitching the bike forward. The quiet operation is a bonus in residential areas, and a slower-wearing disc means the brake feel stays smooth for longer.
Remember to bed the new pads in with a series of moderate stops and to check that no oil or cleaning product has reached the disc.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA184 for the front brake of the Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 between 2017 and 2025. On the back, the matching Accossato pad is AGPP91. Riders after firmer wet grip can choose ST, and those who push harder on twisty roads can look at EV1. Check how many calipers your Svartpilen 401 carries at the front, and hold the old pads against the new ones before fitting.
Road Approval
Test papers or an ABE for this set are not available to us, so we list it for track and competition riding.
