DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Honda CRF450R is a full motocross racer, but a great deal of its life is spent on practice days rather than race days. Accossato's AGPA51 front pad in the Organic (OR) compound fits every CRF450R from 2002 to 2026 and is meant for that training side of the sport: relaxed laps on a club track, coaching sessions, riders returning to the sport or moving up to a big four-stroke, where a soft, easily modulated front bite and low disc wear count for more than outright attack.
Key Features
- Front pads for the Honda CRF450R, 2002 to 2026
- Organic (OR) compound, article AGPA51OR
- Progressive lever response for learning braking points
- Protects the front disc through many practice hours
- Bites without needing heat in the first laps
- Two pads, one set for one caliper
- Same pad also listed as ST, STMX and EV1
Construction and Material Quality
In the company's description, the organic compound gives performance that endures and keeps the disc from wearing quickly. Every pad in the programme is also said to fade less because the temperature rise stays modest, and to pair low wear with strong braking. For a motocross bike clocking up practice hours week after week, a disc-friendly pad makes maintenance simpler and cheaper.
Practice laps and coaching days
At a motocross school the aim is to learn where to brake, how to load the front into a rut and how to release the lever smoothly. A pad that snatches makes that harder, particularly on a powerful 450. The organic set gives the CRF450R a front brake that builds its force gradually, so a rider working on technique can feel what the tyre is doing. It also works from cold, which helps on the sighting lap and on chilly spring mornings. Riders who race regularly, ride in deep mud or convert the bike for tarmac may prefer the ST, STMX or EV1 versions of the same pad.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA51 for the CRF 450 R from 2002 to 2026 and for the CRF 450 R-S from 2022 to 2026. The rear of the CRF450R takes AGPP72 for the same span, and Accossato also offers the discs DK012, DK107 and DK263 for this model. Before fitting, clean the pistons, check the disc for minimum thickness, and keep the pads away from grease. Pump the lever until it is firm, then bed the new set in over a few easy laps on the CRF450R.
Road Approval
No test mark or approval certificate is available for this pad, so it is sold for racing and competition. For a motocross machine that is its natural place.
Scope of Delivery
