DescriptionThe whole story▼
Plenty of Honda CBR 600 RR owners never take the bike anywhere near a circuit. They ride it to the office through the warmer months, sit with it at traffic lights and save the weekend for a relaxed loop through the villages. For that kind of ownership Accossato offers the AGPA108 front pad in its Organic (OR) mixture, a set cut for the twin front calipers of the 2005 to 2018 supersport and aimed at riders who want a quiet lever, a friendly bite from cold and discs that stay in good condition for years.
Key Features
- Front brake pads for the Honda CBR 600 RR, model years 2005 to 2018
- Article AGPA108OR: the AGPA108 shape in the Organic (OR) mixture
- Accossato credits it with a long working life and a light touch on the disc
- Suited to commuting, town traffic and short, cool journeys
- Covers the standard bike and the ABS version listed by Accossato
- One box equips one caliper; the front axle carries two
- Also sold as ST, EV1, EV2 and ZXC on the same backing shape
- No ABE on file with us; offered for racing and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato keeps its description of the Organic material short: it is meant to go on performing for a long time and to take as little as possible out of the disc it works against. On a CBR 600 RR that clocks up city kilometres rather than lap times, those are the two things an owner notices. Discs on a supersport are not cheap to replace in pairs, and a pad that leaves the braking surface smooth and even makes the next service simpler. The carrier is the regular AGPA108 plate, so only the friction face changes compared with the other versions of the article.
A Sports Bike in Everyday Clothes
Short trips are hard on brakes in a way that is easy to overlook. The first stop of the morning happens with a cold disc, then comes a sequence of gentle squeezes in stop-start traffic, and the pads rarely get properly warm before the engine is switched off again. The organic mixture is the one in the range that is at home in that routine: it answers the lever without needing heat first, and it stays quiet at walking pace, which matters when the bike is parked every evening under a neighbour's window.
Give a fresh set a proper introduction. A dozen moderate stops from town speed on a dry, empty road let the pads and discs settle into each other. Before that, clean the pistons with brake cleaner and a soft brush so they slide back without dragging dirt past the seals, keep fingers off the disc surface and pump the lever until it is firm before the Honda leaves the drive.
Fitment and Compatibility
The AGPA108 is listed for the CBR 600 RR built from 2005 to 2018, and Accossato names two versions for it: the non-ABS bike of 2005 to 2017 and the ABS model of 2009 to 2018. The front of this Honda runs twin discs with a caliper on each side, so a complete change takes two boxes. For the later bikes from 2018 to 2026 the catalogue lists a different front article, the AGPA250, and at the rear the AGPP39 covers 2007 to 2026. Check the pad shape already fitted before ordering, especially on a 2018 machine, where both front listings meet.
Road Approval
We do not hold an ABE or German test certificate for the AGPA108OR. The pads are therefore sold for racing and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
Two AGPA108 pads in the Organic (OR) mixture, one set for a single caliper. Order a second box to cover both front calipers of the CBR 600 RR.
