DescriptionThe whole story▼
Most days a Honda CB250R lives in town: traffic lights, school runs, a short stretch of ring road and a parking space by the office. The front brake on this light single-cylinder naked is asked for dozens of gentle stops rather than a few hard ones, often before anything has warmed up. Accossato's AGPA240 front pad in the Organic (OR) compound is meant for exactly that kind of use on the CB250R of 2018 to 2023, and for riders who would rather look after the disc than chase maximum bite.
Key Features
- Front brake pads for the Honda CB250R, model years 2018 to 2023
- Accossato pad shape AGPA240 in the Organic (OR) compound, article number AGPA240OR
- Made for commuting, town riding and short trips where the brake rarely gets hot
- Accossato says the compound lasts long and is gentle on the disc
- Two pads in one box, the set for a single caliper
- The CB250R stops at the front with one caliper, so one box covers the axle
- The same shape is listed in Sintered (ST) and EV1 street/track
- No German ABE on record; sold for track and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato produces the AGPA240 as one backing shape and offers it with several friction materials; this box contains the organic one. The Italian maker keeps its claim for it short: a long working life, and a disc that wears more slowly than it would against a harder material. For a bike that covers most of its distance in town, those two points matter more than outright stopping power, because a front disc that is spared lasts through several pad changes. The pads come as a pair, which is what one caliper holds.
Stop, Start, Repeat
Urban riding asks little of a brake in terms of heat and a lot in terms of repetition. A typical commute on a CB250R involves a string of low-speed stops, many of them from walking pace, with a cold disc and pads that never reach the temperature a fast road would bring. A material that works from the first squeeze of the morning suits that pattern, and a quiet one is welcome when you are filtering past pedestrians at a crossing. Riders who are still gaining experience, including many who chose the CB250R as a first bike after the test, tend to use the front lever with care; a compound that responds progressively rewards that habit. Keep an eye on pad thickness during the service, as town mileage adds up faster than it seems.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGPA240 for the front caliper of the Honda CB250R from 2018 to 2023, the version catalogued as CB 250 R. The single front caliper takes one box. Change both pads together, clean the pistons before you press them back, and pump the lever until it is firm before you ride away. No other Accossato pad or disc is currently listed for this motorcycle.
Road Approval
We hold no test documents or German ABE for this pad, so its use on public roads is not documented. The AGPA240OR is therefore offered for racing and competition purposes.
Scope of Delivery
