DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Honda CB125F is a practical little road bike: a single-cylinder commuter that many riders buy as their first motorcycle and many riding schools use for lessons. Its front brake is used constantly and gently, often by riders who are still learning how much pressure a lever needs. Accossato's AGPA77 front pad in the Organic (OR) compound is listed for the CB125F of 2015 and 2016, and it suits that everyday role well: a smooth, predictable bite and little wear on the disc.
Key Features
- Organic (OR) front pads for the Honda CB125F, model years 2015 and 2016
- Accossato shape AGPA77, article AGPA77OR
- Made for long performance and low disc wear, per Accossato
- Two pads in the box, a full set for the single front caliper
- Sintered (ST) version of the same pad also listed
- Accossato lists further front shapes for the CB125F; check before ordering
- No German ABE; for track and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
The organic AGPA77 is Accossato's gentle choice for a small road bike. The company says it gives longer performance and limits disc wear, which for a commuter means fewer changes and less money spent on discs. Organic material bites from cold and builds grip progressively as the lever is squeezed, a quality that helps novice riders learn to modulate the brake without grabbing it. Accossato's pads are also designed to keep their temperature down, so fading is not a concern at the pace a CB125F usually travels.
Learning the Front Brake
For a new rider the front brake is both the most powerful control on the bike and the one treated with the most suspicion. Instructors teach that most of the stopping comes from the front, applied with a progressive squeeze rather than a snatch, and practice on a quiet car park builds confidence. A CB125F with a smooth, predictable pad makes those lessons easier. Riding schools and learners both benefit from checking the pads regularly, as a bike used for many short trips can wear them faster than expected. Look at the fluid level in the reservoir, and replace pads before the friction layer runs thin.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGPA77 for the front of the Honda CB125F of 2015 and 2016 only. For the CB125F the catalogue also names different front pads, the AGPA240 and the AGPA275, and their listed years overlap with this one, so compare the pad in your caliper with this shape before ordering. The CB125F has a single front caliper, which one box covers.
Road Approval
We have no German ABE and no test report for these organic pads. The AGPA77OR is offered for racing and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
