DescriptionThe whole story▼
Drag-style bars and a long, low stance give the Vulcan 900 Custom its character, built for 2012 to 2016 around a V-twin that takes a larger filler thread than most of Kawasaki's range. Accossato's FP005 fits that M30x1.5 opening, CNC-machined aluminium anodised across eight colours, in place of the plain factory cap.
Key Features
- Oil filler cap for the Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Custom, 2012 to 2016
- Thread M30x1.5, a larger size than most Accossato fillers
- Aluminium, CNC-machined and anodised
- Eight colours: blue, green, black, orange, red, silver, titanium, gold
- TS005 front brake reservoir cap also listed for this bike
- Shared thread with several other large Kawasaki models
- No German ABE on file; for competition use
- Suits a custom-styled cruiser built around a drag-bar stance
Construction and Material Quality
Kawasaki fitted the Vulcan 900 Custom with the same larger M30x1.5 filler thread used on several bigger machines in its range, and Accossato's FP005 is built to that specification in aluminium, shaped on CNC equipment before a bath of anodising settles the final colour. Eight shades are offered, from quiet titanium and silver through to orange, red and gold bright enough to stand out against chrome and dark paint alike, a pairing custom cruisers often lean on.
A Bike Built for Standing Out
Owners of a Custom-badged cruiser rarely leave it exactly as it left the factory, and a filler cap in a deliberate colour fits naturally into that habit of gradual personalisation. Drag bars, a low seat and plenty of chrome already set the tone; the FP005 simply continues it in a spot most riders check without ever thinking to look twice at what covers it. Fitting it changes nothing about how the engine is serviced underneath.
Fitment and Compatibility
This particular application on Accossato's list covers the Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Custom across 2012 to 2016, a separate window from the TS005 front reservoir cap also listed for this motorcycle, which carries its own later years. Several large Kawasaki machines share the identical M30x1.5 thread, the GTR 1400 and Ninja H2 SX among them, which is why the FP005 appears on their application lists too despite having little else in common with a cruiser beyond that one dimension of the filler opening.
Road Approval
No ABE or test document for the FP005 exists in our records, so it is catalogued for competition use.
Scope of Delivery
