DescriptionThe whole story▼
For many owners, the RSV4 RR is the bike that eventually stops being a road bike. Introduced in 2015, it combines Aprilia's V4 with a full electronics package, and a good number of RRs have since been turned into dedicated track machines. Mirrors, number plate and indicators come off, race bodywork goes on, and every other part is looked at with the circuit in mind. The oil filler cap is one of them. Accossato lists its FP009, machined from aluminium, anodised and made with an M25x1.5 thread, for the RSV4 RR of 2015 to 2019.

Construction and Material Quality
Made from aluminium on CNC machines and finished by anodising, the FP009 is offered in red, blue, gold, black, silver, green, orange and titanium. Its thread size is M25x1.5, and Accossato considers it adaptable to other motorcycles with a filler of that size, in addition to the models on its list. On a track bike the cap does its job quietly: sealed, clean and easy to open when the oil needs checking.
When the Road Parts Come Off
Turning an RSV4 RR into a track bike is a project with a long list, and the engine side of it is often the simplest part. Start with a baseline: with the engine cold and off, check the oil level exactly as the owner's manual prescribes, and write down the date of the last oil change. Remove the original filler cap, clean the thread and the sealing face, and fit the FP009 by hand. It needs no more than a firm twist with your fingers. Keep the original cap together with the other removed road parts, clearly labelled, in case the bike ever goes back on the road. From now on the cap becomes part of your routine before each session: a quick look confirms that it is in place and that there is no oil around it. Whoever inspects the bikes at a track day will be looking for oil where it should not be, and a clean, dry engine shortens that conversation. If you have to open the filler during a day at the track, wait until the engine has cooled down completely.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the FP009 for the RSV4 RR from 2015 to 2018, for the Race Pack of 2015 and for the Euro 4 version with ABS of 2019. With its M25x1.5 thread, the same cap is also catalogued at Inter-Pace for the RSV4 Factory, the Tuono V4 1100 RR and the MV Agusta F4. For the front brake fluid reservoir of the RSV4 RR, Accossato makes the TS003. Before ordering, compare your bike with the application list.
Road Approval
Our listing of the FP009 is for competition and the racetrack, as we hold neither an ABE nor a test certificate for it.
