DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Tracer 900 GT, built from 2018 to 2020, added panniers, a quickshifter and other touring refinements to the standard Tracer 900, aimed at riders wanting full touring equipment from the factory. Accossato's FP004 oil filler cap, CNC-machined aluminium anodised in eight colours with an M20x2.5 thread, suits the GT's engine in the same way it suits the standard Tracer.
Key Features
- Oil filler cap for the Yamaha Tracer 900 GT, 2018 to 2020
- M20x2.5 thread, as given by Accossato
- CNC-machined aluminium with an anodised finish throughout
- Eight colours: blue, green, black, orange, red, silver, titanium, gold
- Also fits other motorcycles with the same filler thread
- TS011 front brake and TS013 rear brake fluid reservoir caps listed for the same GT
- A detail on Yamaha's fully equipped Tracer touring model
- No German ABE on file; intended for track and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato takes a block of aluminium through CNC machining to make the FP004, with the colour coming afterwards from an anodising bath rather than any paint applied on top. Only the M20x2.5 thread appears as a stated figure; beyond that, the application list decides fitment rather than a further measurement. A buyer matching the GT's touring colours reaches for titanium, black or silver, while orange, red, blue, green or gold give the engine one more point of finish to go with a bike specified fully from new.
Oil Checks With a Full Load Aboard
Panniers and a passenger add real weight to a GT that the standard Tracer never carries, which is reason enough to check the oil carefully before a heavily loaded trip rather than assume the level from the last check still holds. Wait for the engine to cool properly before opening the filler, and read the level first, the way the manual sets it out with the bike standing level. Clearing grit from around the opening before the old cap comes away keeps it out of the oil, and the thread and sealing face on both halves deserve a look while open. Add any top-up in stages, watching the level as it rises, then turn the FP004 home by hand until resistance stops it naturally.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's own application sheet runs the FP004 across every Tracer 900 GT built from 2018 to 2020, pairing it with the Ducati Desert X and several Hypermotard versions wherever the identical filler size turns up. For this GT, the TS011 front brake cap and the TS013 rear brake fluid reservoir cap round out what Accossato offers.
Road Approval
Accossato has given us no test or approval paperwork for the FP004, so it is offered for racing and closed-course use rather than German road use.
