DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Z900RS wraps a modern engine in styling that deliberately echoes Kawasaki's naked bikes from decades earlier, sold from 2018 to 2020 with real care taken over the retro details. The filler keeps the ordinary M20x2.5 thread, and Accossato's FP004 fits it in CNC-machined aluminium, anodised across eight colours.
Key Features
- Oil filler cap for the Kawasaki Z900RS, 2018 to 2020
- Thread M20x2.5, the size Accossato quotes
- Aluminium, CNC-machined and anodised
- Eight colours: blue, green, black, orange, red, silver, titanium, gold
- TS005 front brake reservoir cap also listed for this bike
- Shared thread size with other manufacturers' bikes
- No German ABE on file; offered for competition use
- A deliberately retro-styled naked built on a modern engine
Construction and Material Quality
The FP004 is machined from aluminium on CNC equipment before anodising adds one of eight finishes, titanium and silver at the quiet end, orange, red and gold at the louder one. Kawasaki paid close attention to period details on the Z900RS, from the tank shape to the twin round headlights, and a filler cap finished in a classic colour sits comfortably within that same careful approach to the bike's overall look, rather than looking like an afterthought.
Modern Engine, Period-Correct Attention
Underneath its heritage styling, the Z900RS runs the same kind of modern engine as any current Kawasaki, and it deserves exactly the same up-to-date maintenance: engine cold, bike level, the window read before the filler is touched. Clean the area first, fit the FP004 by hand once the reading is taken, and check underneath after the next ride for any sign of seepage, however nostalgic the rest of the bike feels.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the FP004 for the Kawasaki Z900RS across 2018 to 2020, the whole of its first generation on sale. This Z900RS also takes the TS005 front brake reservoir cap, so the two can be ordered in one colour. Because the M20x2.5 thread decides fit rather than the model itself, the identical cap also appears on Accossato's list for the Ducati Diavel, a bike with nothing else in common with a retro-styled Kawasaki beyond that one shared dimension of engineering quietly linking the two separate ranges together behind the scenes.
Road Approval
No ABE or test document for the FP004 is held by us, so the cap is listed for track and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
One FP004 oil filler cap is included, anodised in the colour you select.
