DescriptionThe whole story▼
Kawasaki sold the Z800E as a lower-powered version of the standard Z800 for certain markets, built from 2013 to 2016 with a Special Edition added for its final year. The filler keeps the common M20x2.5 thread, and Accossato's FP004 fits it in CNC-machined aluminium, anodised across eight colours.
Key Features
- Oil filler cap for the Kawasaki Z800E, 2013 to 2016
- Covers standard, ABS and the 2016 Special Edition
- Thread M20x2.5, as stated by Accossato
- Aluminium, CNC-machined and anodised
- Eight colours: blue, green, black, orange, red, silver, titanium, gold
- TS013 rear brake reservoir cap also listed for this bike
- No German ABE on file; for competition use
- Four distinct versions covered by a single application
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato begins with a solid aluminium blank and only lets anodising add colour once the FP004's shaping on CNC machines is complete. Where the standard Z800 and the restricted Z800E differ mainly in how much power reaches the back wheel, nothing about the filler cap changes between them, since the engine casing and the oil inside it are identical regardless of which market the bike was originally sold into or how the throttle was mapped at the factory.
A Restricted Engine, the Same Full Routine
A lower power output on the Z800E does nothing to simplify the maintenance it needs, and the oil check deserves exactly the same care as on the full-power version: engine cold, bike level, the window read before the filler is touched, the area cleaned first. The FP004 then threads back in by hand, and a look underneath after the next ride confirms the seal has settled properly, whatever the restriction plate underneath happens to say about the power on tap. A new owner moving between markets is sometimes surprised to learn just how much of the bike is genuinely shared across versions.
Fitment and Compatibility
Four separate versions sold between 2013 and 2016, the standard bike, its ABS equivalent and the 2016 Special Edition in both forms, all fall under this one FP004 application. The TS013 rear reservoir cap fits the same bike too, worth ordering alongside it for a coordinated finish. Thread size rather than market restriction decides fit, which is how the Ducati Diavel ends up sharing this list.
Road Approval
Accossato has not supplied an ABE or comparable paperwork for the FP004, so it is catalogued for track and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
One FP004 oil filler cap ships in the colour selected at the time of order.
