The Rebel 500 is built for a different kind of rider than most of Honda's sportsbikes, low and simple, with styling that invites customising rather than discouraging it. Produced from 2014 to 2018, it takes the same M20x2.5 oil filler thread as much of Honda's range, and Accossato's FP004 fits it in CNC-machined aluminium, anodised in eight colours.

Construction and Material Quality
Machined on CNC equipment and then anodised, the FP004 is offered in eight finishes, from restrained titanium and silver through to orange, red and gold, all worked into the aluminium rather than painted on. A Rebel 500 customised with blacked-out engine covers or a two-tone tank finds a straightforward partner here, since the cap's colour can echo either choice without needing to match a painted surface exactly. M20x2.5 is the thread figure that governs the fit.
Small Parts Matter on a Minimalist Bike
A cruiser built around clean lines, like the Rebel 500, shows off its smaller components more than a fully-faired sportsbike ever does, simply because there is less bodywork to hide behind. The oil filler sits in plain view on the engine, which makes it one of the easier places to add a deliberate touch of colour. The job of checking oil underneath that cap stays exactly as straightforward as on any other Honda: cold engine, level bike, clean hands before opening it. None of the customising above the engine changes what happens underneath that cap, nor should it, since the two are entirely separate jobs.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the FP004 for the Honda CMX500 Rebel across 2014 to 2018. No second Accossato cap currently appears for this model. Because the M20x2.5 thread decides fit rather than the model name, the identical cap also suits a range of machines from other manufacturers, among them several Ducati models.
