DescriptionThe whole story▼
The GSX-S750, sold from 2017 to 2019, gives riders a smaller-engined version of Suzuki's naked GSX-S line, aimed at owners who want the same exposed styling without the bigger bike's size. Accossato's FP001 oil filler cap suits it: CNC-machined aluminium with an M20x1.5 thread, anodised in eight colours rather than painted.
Key Features
- Oil filler cap for the Suzuki GSX-S750, 2017 to 2019
- M20x1.5 thread, as specified by Accossato
- CNC-machined aluminium, anodised throughout
- Eight colours: orange, blue, green, black, red, silver, titanium, gold
- Also fits other motorcycles with the same filler thread
- TS009 front brake fluid reservoir cap listed for the same GSX-S750
- Replaces a cap that has dulled after years in the sun
- No German ABE on file; built for track and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato cuts the FP001 from a piece of aluminium on CNC equipment and anodises the surface afterwards, which keeps the colour part of the metal rather than a coat sitting over it. M20x1.5 is the one dimension given, and the maker says simply that the cap fits the GSX-S750 and the rest of its application list, plus any other bike sharing that filler size. Black, titanium and silver suit a GSX-S750 kept in its factory colours, while the brighter options give the engine a lift that a naked bike shows off more readily than a faired one would.
A Smaller Naked Bike, the Same Basic Job
Whatever the engine size, the routine around the filler cap stays the same, and a smaller bike like the GSX-S750 rewards the same patience as a bigger one. Only open the cap once the engine has had time to cool properly, and check the oil level first, exactly as the manual describes with the bike upright. Clear the area of grit before removing the old cap, since whatever sits there falls straight into the oil the moment it lifts, and check the thread and sealing face on both the cap and the housing. Top up a little at a time, checking the level between pours, then seat the FP001 by hand until it stops turning easily, stopping there rather than forcing it further. Checking the filler again after the next ride confirms nothing has worked loose.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's list covers the GSX-S750 across its 2017 to 2019 run for the FP001, and the same cap also appears against the Aprilia Dorsoduro 750, 900 and 1200, the Aprilia Shiver 750 and 900 and the Moto Guzzi Griso SE 8V 1200, among other bikes with the same filler size. Accossato also lists the TS009 front brake fluid reservoir cap for this GSX-S750, so the two can be matched in colour.
Road Approval
Accossato has supplied no test or approval documents for the FP001, so Inter-Pace lists it for racing and closed-course use rather than the public road.
