DescriptionThe whole story▼
Not every 250 EXC-F owner wants an adjusting screw built into the axle block, and some would rather keep the setup as close as possible to how the bike left the factory, with tension set by the usual nut and marks on the swingarm. Accossato's RTM1 suits that preference, replacing the rear axle blocks on the 250 EXC-F built between 2000 and 2018 without adding a screw to either one.
Key Features
- Rear axle blocks for the KTM 250 EXC-F, 2000 to 2018
- Accossato code RTM1, one pair, left and right
- Chain tension set the stock way, with no built-in adjusting screw
- Orange, black or silver
- Also listed for a wide run of Husqvarna four-strokes on this swingarm
- Accossato's RCM1 covers the same bike with an adjusting screw, for riders who prefer that method
- No German ABE on file; built for off-road and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
The RTM1 pair mounts exactly where the stock blocks sit, holding the rear wheel's position without changing the way tension has always been set on this bike. Orange, black or silver are the finishes on offer, a choice most owners base on whatever colours the rest of the bike already carries. A block that has picked up a deep scrape or sits noticeably out of true after an impact is worth replacing rather than trusted to keep doing its job.
Choosing the Plain Option on Purpose
Not every upgrade is worth making just because it exists, and plenty of experienced 250 EXC-F owners deliberately skip the adjusting-screw version of the axle block because they already know the stock method well and see no reason to change a habit that has worked fine for years. The RTM1 is built for that kind of deliberate choice rather than for someone who simply did not know the alternative existed. It still replaces a worn or damaged block with a fresh one in the same finish options as the rest of Accossato's range for this bike.
Fitment and Compatibility
The RTM1 shares its application window with the RCM1 on this bike, both covering the 250 EXC-F from 2000 to 2018, since the two parts differ only in adjustment method rather than where they fit. A number of Husqvarna four-strokes built on the same swingarm take the identical block. Given how long this fitment window runs, checking the exact build year against Accossato's list is still worth doing before ordering.
Road Approval
Accossato lists no German ABE for the RTM1, so the blocks are intended for off-road and competition use rather than for use on public roads.
