DescriptionThe whole story▼
A crash on an FE 250 puts a sudden, uneven load through the rear wheel, and the rear axle blocks are among the parts that take that load directly, whatever else on the bike absorbs the rest. Accossato lists the RTM1 rear axle blocks for the FE 250 built between 2014 and 2018, a stock-style pair without a built-in adjusting screw that fixes the wheel's position at the end of the swingarm.
Key Features
- Rear axle blocks for the Husqvarna FE 250, 2014 to 2018
- Accossato code RTM1, fitted at each end of the swingarm
- Stock-style design, no built-in adjusting screw
- Available in orange, black or silver
- Same part also listed for the Husqvarna FC 250, the Husqvarna TE 250 and the Husqvarna TE 300
- Accossato also offers a chain guide, a swingarm slider and the screw-equipped version of this block for this bike
- No German ABE on file; built for off-road and competition riding
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato machines the RTM1 to the FE 250's own axle diameter and swingarm slot, following the stock method of marking the chain tension against the swingarm rather than building a screw into the block. Orange, black and silver are offered purely as a colour choice, with all three doing the same job once fitted. A block that has been bent or scored by a hard impact is worth setting against a straight edge rather than refitting by eye, since it fixes exactly where the wheel sits.
Checking the Rear End After a Fall
A low-speed tip-over or a harder crash both put a sideways push through the rear wheel that the axle blocks are built to resist, and that is exactly the kind of load that can leave a block bent or chipped without the damage being obvious at a glance. Standing the FE 250 back up and checking the chain and sprocket is the usual first step after any fall, but running a hand along both axle blocks at the same time catches a problem that would otherwise only show up as the wheel running slightly off-line on the next ride. Doing this in the workshop rather than at the trailside, with the bike on a stand and both sides compared against each other, makes an uneven block far easier to spot. It is a small addition to a post-crash check that most riders already carry out for the bars, levers and footpegs.
Fitment and Compatibility
The application list for the RTM1 covers the same stretch as its screw-equipped sibling, the FE 250 from 2014 to 2018; both pairs mount in the identical slot on the swingarm, so the choice between them is about adjustment method rather than fitment. The identical pair also fits the Husqvarna FC 250, the TE 250 and the TE 300, all built on this swingarm. Whichever version is fitted, checking the exact build year against Accossato's own list before ordering is still worth the few minutes it takes.
Road Approval
Accossato lists no German ABE for the RTM1, so the blocks are intended for off-road and competition use rather than for use on public roads.
