DescriptionThe whole story▼
As the largest-displacement bike in Husqvarna's enduro four-stroke range, the FE 450 is often the one ridden hardest over a long trail day, and that is when a small part like this oil pump cover is easiest to overlook. Accossato's COP01 oil pump cover fits the FE 450 built in 2014 to 2016, in orange, blue or black.
Key Features
- Oil pump cover for the Husqvarna FE 450, 2014 to 2016
- Accossato code COP01
- Available in orange, blue or black
- Closes off the oil pump housing
- Same code also listed for the Husqvarna FE 250, the Husqvarna FE 350 and the KTM 450SX-F
- Accossato also offers the PBM01 rear brake reservoir cover and the TFM03 and TFM04 oil filter covers for this bike
- No German ABE on file; built for off-road and competition riding
Construction and Material Quality
The COP01 closes the FE 450's oil pump housing in the same way as the standard cover, in orange, blue or black. Fitting it is no different from refitting the original, a straightforward swap once the old cover has cracked or stopped seating properly against the housing.
The Last Item on a Bigger Service
When an FE 450 goes in for a more involved service, rather than a routine oil change, this cover is often one of several small items checked while the engine is already more exposed than usual. It is easy to leave until last simply because it has little bearing on the bigger job at hand, but a cracked or ill-fitting COP01 left in place after everything else has been attended to undermines the rest of the work. Fitting a fresh one while the engine is already open is the more thorough approach.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's application list has the COP01 fitting the FE 450 across 2014 to 2016. The same cover also fits the Husqvarna FE 250, the Husqvarna FE 350 and the KTM 450SX-F. On the FE 450, Accossato separately offers the PBM01 rear brake reservoir cover and the TFM03 and TFM04 oil filter covers. Checking the exact build year against the application list before ordering is still worth doing.
Road Approval
No German ABE is on file for the COP01, so Accossato lists it for off-road and competition use rather than for use on public roads.
