DescriptionThe whole story▼
A rider who has outgrown smaller enduro bikes, in size or in ambition, often lands on the current KTM 450EXC-F as the machine that finally has enough torque to make a steep climb feel manageable rather than desperate at the last minute. Accossato's enlarged Ergal footpegs for the 450EXC-F of 2024 to 2026 come in orange, blue or black.
Key Features
- Enlarged footpegs for the KTM 450EXC-F, model years 2024 to 2026
- Ergal, a high-strength aluminium alloy
- Broader base to match a torque-rich climbing bike
- Accossato's stated use: motocross, enduro and off-road riding
- Orange, blue or black
- Two pegs, left and right, sold together
- An earlier Accossato set exists for the 450EXC-F of 2017–2023
- No approval documents on file; for competition
Construction and Material Quality
Enlarged, made of Ergal, and intended generally for motocross, enduro and off-road motorcycles: that is all Accossato states for this part, with Ergal belonging to the high-strength aluminium alloys. The current 450EXC-F takes the pair in orange, blue or black, one peg to a side.
Finally Enough Torque for the Climb
Riders moving up to a 450EXC-F from a smaller enduro bike often notice the difference most on a steep, loose climb, where the bigger engine pulls through sections that used to require a run-up and a prayer on a smaller machine. The sensation of torque that is simply there, without having to be chased through the gearbox, changes how a rider plans an approach to a hill well before the front wheel even reaches it.
That extra confidence changes how the rider approaches obstacles generally, trusting the throttle a little more and the momentum a little less, which in turn asks for feet that stay planted through a longer, slower climb rather than a brief, fast one. Standing through a climb like that still depends on the boots staying firmly in place, since torque alone does not keep a foot from sliding if the peg underneath it is narrow or slick with mud halfway up the slope. A broad platform gives the rider's new-found confidence in the engine a matching confidence in the footing beneath it.
Fitment and Compatibility
This FR809 applies to the 450EXC-F from the 2024 model year onward; a 2017 to 2023 bike should order the FR798 instead, in its own colour range. Checking the build year before ordering avoids any mix-up, and we are glad to confirm it if you are not certain. The FR809 also fits several other current KTM machines listed in our shop.
Road Approval
We hold no ABE or similar approval for this footpeg, and it is therefore offered for competition use.
Scope of Delivery
