DescriptionThe whole story▼
A 125 two-stroke teaches an enduro rider things a bigger bike never will, mostly because it forgives so little: carry too little momentum into a hill and the KTM 125EXC simply stalls, with no torque in reserve to pull through on a whim. Riders who learn technical sections on a 125 tend to carry that precision with them for the rest of their careers. Accossato lists enlarged Ergal footpegs for the 125EXC across the long run from 1998 to 2016, in six colours.

Construction and Material Quality
This is the same part Accossato lists across much of its enduro range: an enlarged footpeg made from Ergal, a high-strength aluminium alloy, built for motocross, enduro and off-road motorcycles. On the 125EXC the set comes as two pegs, left and right, and the colour runs through six options: orange, blue, green, black, red or Titanium.
Learning Precision on a Small Two-Stroke
A 125EXC punishes a lazy line more quickly than a 450 ever would, because there is no surplus of torque to cover a mistake. Riders have to carry speed into a technical section deliberately, picking the exact spot to accelerate and the exact spot to let the bike coast, with the throttle worked constantly rather than opened once and left. Many experienced enduro riders say this kind of bike taught them more about body position and timing than any amount of time on a larger four-stroke.
Standing through the rough sections is part of that lesson, since a seated rider on a 125 loses the ability to shift weight quickly when the bike needs every bit of momentum preserved. The feet hold that standing position through root-covered climbs and across off-camber turns where a slip costs speed the small engine cannot easily make back. A broad, dependable peg supports exactly that kind of riding, where balance and footing matter as much as throttle control.
